honestly, it's a surprise that you've managed to not notice it by now! with how much ren tries to make it obvious to you, you should've picked up on it by now…
ren is constantly around you, he's way more touchy and playfully affectionate with you and he keeps giving you cute nicknames to tease you, yet you don't seem to have realized why he does all that!
you keep receiving special treatment from the leader of the phantom thieves, whether he's cooking you curry when you come over to leblanc or offering you a coffee on the house!
even the other phantom thieves mention how much of a special treatment you get, with ryuji and yusuke often complaining that they never get free food or coffee from ren!
meanwhile, the phantom thief girls try to give you hints that ren is into you – as if ren hadn't tried and failed at that already!
even when you're in the metaverse, joker tries to play the hero and act as your knight in shining armor, saving you from any shadow coming your way! and all the while, he tries to show off his skills as much as he can…
ren even tries to get time with you alone, asking you to stay a bit longer, even after the other phantom thieves head home. he'll come up with an excuse like ‘needing someone to try his new curry recipe’ or ‘wanting to ask you some stuff about the upcoming exam’
but it seems like even that doesn't help! perhaps ren has to finally make a move that even you can't misunderstand and ask you out on a proper date!

You wake up, earlier than usual. The moon is still shining in all its glory. On your left is Goro. He was sleeping on his back, with a face mask on. However, his hand is intertwined with yours. On your right is Akira, who is completely entangled with you. He is snoring a bit, and it is honestly adorable.
You turn to your right, where the bedside table was, and see that it is currently 4:35 am. Still early, and you probably have time to prepare breakfast.
You sit up, well atleast try to, but Akira keeps you on your back.
"Don't leave me..." he says, sounding as if he was about to cry if you actually did. He tightens his grip on your waist, and tries to pull you as close to him as he can. Goro, turns a bit on his side just enough to face you but not so much that his mask will be ruined, puts an arm over your stomach just below Akira's grip. He mumbled something incoherent.
"I am just gonna make breakfast," you try to comfort the men beside you. Goro grumbled, Akira whined.
You decide to accept your fate, after all it's not like this is a bad place to be stuck in. It is the best place, actually. Your husbands are always out because of various 'businesses' and meetings they have to do. While they never explain the nitty-gritty of their work, you know how dangerous it is.
Every time they go out, you always say a silent prayer. While you may not be a believer, you hope that there is someone listening. You hope that someone out there, if such person, entity, or creature exist, they protect your husbands and let them go home in one piece.
You remember, years ago, when you first met them.

"You know this is the third month, right?"
"I know, I just need more time!"
"Well, I don't have it! Get out! I am running a business, and you are bankrupting me!" Your landlord shouts from behind the closed door, rattling the locked doorknob. You are visibly shaking as you try to get as many clothes and items you can get, and you can feel tears welling up behind your eyes.
CRASH! The sound of the door being forcibly opened will forever be ingrained in your memories. "GET OUT!" he grabbed your arm, and is practically shoving you outside the door.
You had nowhere to go.
You do not have contact with any of your family members, and you do not have any close friends to ask help from.
It was just you.
You walk down the street, with no destination in mind. You are hoping that something will fall from the sky, perhaps money. Money is preferred. Instead, you see a bar, and decided that the smartest thing to do with your remaining money was to drink.
When you entered, jazz music was playing. The lights were dimmed, and there were a decent amount of people. You quickly sat down in one of the tables near the entrance, a little isolated from the rest of the people.
"Ahem," you look up to see a buff man looking down at you. "Why are you alone there, you little thing?"
Another man joins him, "Why don't you let us accompany you, sweet cheeks?"
You shake your head in disagreement, "No thank you."
"Eh? You think you were giving us a choice?"
"Sorry, not happening. A pretty little thing like you should not be left alone."
They start getting too close for comfort, but paused when they felt someone grabbing them.
"They said no." And when they turned around, you were met with the most gorgeous men you have ever seen.
Who would've thought that those gorgeous men would eventually be called your husbands?

You were pulled out of your thoughts with the sound of Akira's 'work' phone ringing. Goro quickly stood up and removed his face mask, while Akira just stirred as if it was the first alarm and he could sleep for five minutes more. You try to shake him, signaling to answer the phone. Goro slapped his leg, and Akira finally stood up from that.
He finally answers, and his eyes dart between you and Goro. Akira reaches for your hand and squeezes it, a silent "sorry" being passed from him to you. It seems like it is time for 'work'.
"Got it," is the only things he utters throughout the duration of the call, and finally ends it.
"My angel, I," he starts but you are quick to comfort him. You give him a quick kiss on the lips and gave him a smile. "It's alright. Just please be safe."
"Of course," he smiles, and nuzzles your nose, "I am going home to you. Always."
Goro clears his throat, "What about me bunny?"
Akira sticks his tongue out, and pulls you close to him. Goro scoffed and crawls toward you, stopping until your faces are just inches apart. You give him a kiss, as well. "Please come home safe and sound."
Goro gave a small smile, "Anything for you, my sweetheart."
After a quick change of clothes, they are out the door.
One more time, you clasp your hands together and say a silent prayer.

however, even as you grew a little fond of him, your dislike for him returned as soon as ren suggested a little competition between the two of you: if he gets the better grade on the next exam, to kiss him! and if you win, he does whatever you say
while you had expected to outclass him with ease, the next exam got closer and even with all the studying you did, ren actually ended up beating you by a single point!
when you met in the library after school that day, ren took you to a more secluded spot, to cash in his price for winning. hiding behind some bookshelves, he stole a kiss from you. and surprisingly, you didn't end up hating it as much as you expected to…

“w-who are you…?”
the man in front of you wore your boyfriend's face, but there wasn't a single trace of the boy you once loved. ren amamiya was a good guy, who wanted to help people! never would he have made a deal with a god, that only brought suffering upon people!
“you know me.”
ren's eyes were covered by his glasses, making his expression impossible to read. only the hint of a smile on the corner of his lips was there to show any sort of emotion.
“you're not the boy i fell in love with! the ren amamiya that i know would've never sided with a god, much less the god of control! how could you betray everything the phantom thieves stood against!?”
ren took a step towards you, his lips parting, as he was ready to talk back at you. but you quickly stepped back and cried out:
“don't come any closer!”
ren adjusted his glasses, finally allowing you to get a glimpse of his eyes. they were staring at you uncomfortably from behind those glasses, almost as if they were piercing right through you. could this really be the same boy you once fell in love with? could those same kind eyes that made you feel all warm and fuzzy now scare you like this?
“i didn't betray the phantom thieves. i saved us! we can continue our work and finally get the recognition we deserve! the public loves us, just like they should! isn't that what we all wanted? we are heroes!”
he sounded insane! with each word that left his lips, you felt more disgusted with him. is this truly how he viewed the world? how he viewed the phantom thieves?
“heroes? don't make me laugh!” you yelled at ren. “you are not a hero! you are the villain of this story! you enslaved the whole world for your selfish wants! you are no better than those we took down! you are… just like them…”
for a split second, ren's face distorted. your words seemed to wound him, but the anger quickly faded from his face again. slowly, he stepped forward. even as you took steps backwards, it was impossible for you to escape him. soon, he had you cornered, his hand resting on your cheek.
“i am not like the palace rulers we disposed of. they were weak fools, but me? i am on the same level as a god now! the people worship and adore me! all of us, all phantom thieves, can be as gods! we can forever continue this way of life! we never have to change! we can simply live as heroes, worshiped like gods, for eternity!”
a twisted smile had spread over ren's face.
“why should we waste our time worrying about humans? humanity is enslaved by the god of control? well, this isn't our problem! you and i, we stand above them! so, join me! you and i, we can become as gods! you only have to join me and give up your foolish rebellion against me…”
ren took a step back, yet reached out his hand towards you. he didn't force you to take it, but whether you'd accept his hand or reject him would change your life forever. there were only two options; either you were with him or against him!
“what do you say, darling? will you choose humanity over me? or will you come to your senses and realize you belong by my side?”
