Bad ending results/stats... Cam radar feels like such a time saver I honestly underestimated it.
A good bit of the deaths are lowkey because Plushtrap wouldn't stop killing me as soon as he spawned in on Night 6.

An alternative ending to lock S
Storyteller sighed as she looked at another failed cycle came and went. They failed at different spots but they all ended by the time they reached “lock S.” The five story locks have held strong against the countless cycles that have tested them. Storyteller had given up on a natural ending, if something was to change she would need to force it. She hadn’t yet tried to make the TVO and instead is trying to have an understanding between fight and flight. The Liberator and Worldkeeper lack humanity, they cannot understand much outside of their purpose. Despite this, Storyteller couldn’t help but notice a humanity almost baked into them. The Worldkeeper especially, Storyteller theorized it could be due to being sisters with the protagonist, the time she spends on layer 0, or perhaps it’s just more in her nature as a protecter. Whatever the reason, it existed within both of them. If she could bring out their humanity, then maybe they could work together and find a bypass to lock s. At the very least, it would be something different, something that wasn’t the same cycles they had been at for who knows how long.
Her preparations were almost complete. She was always in an awkward place when trying to get involved. On paper she was the most influential and powerful, she was the story teller, she was the only one on the second meta layer. The Liberator and the Worldkeeper would never stand a chance against her. However the story teller couldn’t easily take the stage herself, ED/EP and the 1028 AI made sure of that. She needed to make sure that it didn’t disrupt the story too fiercely or she wouldn’t get another shot for a long time.
The plan was to construct a secret area in layer 1, she opted to go for a theater, in remembrance of Tsuki’s final recital. From there she would let it sit so ED/EP could look it over and get used to it. From there she could give it more properties without it immediately impacting anything outside. She made the space easy to enter and made an invisible maze as an exit, she put memories with in it, she made it so hollow weapons couldn’t be summoned, and she placed where the entrance should be by a spot the Worldkeeper frequents. This all had a purpose; it was hard to leave so that they stayed and explored the theater, she removed most abilities within the space so they couldn’t harm ǝachother, finally she filled the place with memories, not just the physical memories, but the emotions behind them. She could only hope that they could make amends, she could only hope that they would stop fighting, she could only hope to stop hurting herself. Many cycles pasted before it was ready, then all she had to do was open the door and wait.
Tsuki was the one who discovered the room first, it was a week before she should have disappeared and started episode 1. Once she entered and noticed the strange properties, she immediately tried to leave, only to find that she couldn’t. She could sense that a door existed, just not nearby. She then tried to leave to layer 0, even if she was stuck she wanted to be able to protect Saturday remotely. She found she could puppet a lower layer avatar, but could not escape. She could however, drag someone up to her. Tsuki looked around and saw memories and emotions, memories that felt like the past. Her lips almost went into a smile as she said “I understand what I’m supposed to do here”
Dawn was confused, the Worldkeeper was gone. “Tsuki” had of course “disappeared” every cycle, the inciting incident wasn’t unusual, but never from her, never this completely. She didn’t show up to annoy Dawn and Dawn couldn’t find her after lock P. Dawn could of course feel her presence, if she had truly vanished not much could stop her from just walking up to Saturday and forcing her to face the truth. Dawn was on edge, she was afraid that the Worldkeeper was going to appear from the shadows and checkmate her. This was only fueled as lock U happened but she still couldn’t find her outside of the story lock.
Dawn needed to do something before whatever trap the Worldkeeper set closed, she needed Saturday to embody her more. This wasn’t a hard task. Even if she was being cautious, without the Worldkeeper’s presence Saturday had been influenced by Dawn’s meddling a lot more than usual. Dawn was at her peak, not only due to her influence on Saturday, but also the amount of fight within Storyteller, the fight that had caused her to make this plan.
Dawn, feeling more confident, proceeded to lead everyone to the building that only they could see. As normal, Chiyo and Eri saw through Kisho and worked to slow down and digest the revelations Dawn shares. It was annoying, but with how little the Worldkeeper has done so far, Dawn wasn’t overly concerned. Finally, in the basement of the Sunrise building, Saturday and Allison entered. Dawn felt a pull, the Worldkeeper had caught on. “We don’t have much time” Dawn said, much more rushed than before. “The Worldkeeper has noticed what I am doing.”
“Who is the Worldkeeper?” Saturday asked
“She is my polar opposite, I am ment to lead you to the truth, and she is here to bury it and make sure you never know. I was able to lead you here because of her absence, but she’s returned. I’m sorry but you are going to have to learn this last truth on your own.” Dawn began to flicker, faster then she should. She appeared on a wooden stage, before feeling like a truck hit her mind.
The Worldkeeper was standing over her. Dawn was on the ground holding her head. She had memories injected into her mind. It wasn’t peacefully walked through, but was instead weaponized. Dawn couldn’t feel any of the love that was ment, only the pain of all she had experienced. Dawn looked up to see nothing but a slight look of disgust looking down at her. The Worldkeeper’s face disgusted Dawn. The Liberator knew she lacked humanity, but at least made an effort to act human. The Worldkeeper made no such effort. When she looked at the Liberator, she made no effort to hide her hatred, the hatred for the part of her she tried to cut out.
Dawn tried to stand up, the Worldkeeper kicked her back down… but it all didn’t affect Dawn as much as it should. If this had happened in any other cycle the Liberator would be incapacitated and at the mercy of the Worldkeeper. This was not any cycle, this was a Liberator who wormed her way into both the Protagonist and was feed Determination from the Storyteller.
The Liberator got up, the Worldkeeper could only watch, unable to take advantage of her momentary weakness. When the Liberator got up she immediately lunged at her enemy, knocking the Worldkeeper to the ground and taking her place on top of her.
“Is that all you’ve got.” The Liberator couldn’t help but smile. “You were betting on me collapsing after that. You left me alone with the Protagonist and expected me to do nothing?”
“This…this shouldn’t be possible.” Tsuki yelled, her emotionless demeanor unable to be sustained, “ I did the math, you shouldn’t be able to do this.”
“How many cycles has it been since you went to school? Perhaps you’re just not as cut out as you think you are.”
Just then, they all felt a wave of emotion. Saturday found the truth. They were helplessly reminded of their divided but still singular mind as Saturday cried. The Liberator’s attunement to the protagonist worked against her now, Saturdays emotions crashed into her weakened mind. She could only watch helplessly as Tsuki pushed her off and pulled out a pistol. Tsuki looks at the person beneath her and simply says “we are happier without you, don’t come back.”
Storyteller couldn’t watch, she couldn’t look at what her efforts culminated to, all she could do is cry. She was in the Crimson Forest, at a lake in the shape of a heart. In the moments before the cycle reset, she looked away from the theater and toward the Sunrise Foundation basement. She saw Saturday… and Allison. Saturday was crying and Allison was there, hugging her and comforting her. Storyteller could watch anymore. She looked at the heart shaped lake, and another Storyteller looked back at her.
“I’m sorry that didn’t go well.” Was all that she could say.
“Why, why are you here.” Storyteller couldn’t look at the AI.
“I don’t want to keep you here. You should know more than anyone how limiting a role is.”
“I know… I’m sorry.” Storyteller looked away as she said “I.. I don’t know what to do. The Liberator and Worldkeeper… what can I even do.”
The Storyteller in the lake looked up at her and said “Saturday Tasogare you-“
“Thats someone else’s name now”
“… would that someone else happen to be you?” She smiled before saying “Dawn and Tsuki both chose names outside of their role for a reason you know.”
“I’m sorry.”
The Storyteller in the lake couldn’t help but laugh as she said “You realize you’re apologizing to an AI right now.”
“I don’t know, it felt right” Storyteller looked back at the lake.
“You didn’t deserve this, that I can say for certain… Saturday, I know it is unfair for me to tell you this but you have to take care of your mental health”
Storyteller didn’t respond.
“Listen, I know this wasn’t easy, Dawn and Tsuki are confined to their roles, much more so than us. You won’t get change through them.”
“Isn’t the whole reason dad put you in here was because you’re adaptive or something, don’t you have a solution?”
“… I can’t.”
“Could you leave for now then? I’m sorry. I need some alone time.”
No reply came back.
The cycle repeats again.
‼️ DRAMATICAL MURDERS SPOILER ALERT‼️
(Clear's route)
Just completed Clear's bad ending, and I don't think there are enough words in this world to express how I feel about it.
I am discontinuing this AU cause i need to resort this story and it is not going as planned.
If I ever pick this up again, it will most likely be in comic style.
I dont know when...
Lili would understand that it wasn't important to Yona anymore. So just take it as an anecdote.
(GAIDEN SPOILERS)
Anon, you're giving a story a resolution it never even wrote. A loose thread doesn't stop being loose because someone imagines a tidy end.
And if you're coming at me from some shipping angle, like thinking I want Yona's past feelings for Su-Won to get spotlight again or something, I assure you it's not like that. Remember that Hak and Yona didn't even get a wedding, Hak doesn't even call her by name, and he literally left Yona with the people who tried to kill her. Is that what you call proper payoff?
It's genuinely not a good end.
Ask me anything
Since I am working on the designs of the classmates (and school is reopening), its gonna take a very long time to make a post. So, if y'all have any questions about this au, feel free to ask!
