First image: preparing for them to depart their metaphorical holy place. Including a farewell libation.
Second image: The Akiti House, they were given water libation here when I was able. As well as lamentation.
Third Image: The return to their holy place and full ritual. On a slightly more decorated altar to represent a "welcome home"
Joint libation of water; food offering of gelatin; incense offering thyme; monetary offering to the International Red Cross & Crescent.
This was supposed to be three days but between the two days at the main altar I did not have energy to do the second ritual. Thus they stayed at their "Akiti House" and I gave libations when I could.
Entertainment was a song I pick by default now if I don't pick something specific: La valse d'Amélie (Version orchestre) by Yann Tiersen
How I built my Akiti festival— Link. Akiti is a half "New Year" preformed (based on original dating) on the 1st Barazaggar and 7th Dukú months of the lunar year. It represents the God leaving their city then returning and restoring order. It was a time to secure their favor.
