We can't imagine that there will be such a huge temple in an alley in Peth after going through a narrow road. The temple can be seen there with the permission of the owner. This temple should not be missed due to its beautiful Shivling, Sabhamandap, Ganesha idol, lotus carved pillars, ancient glass chandeliers, paved courtyard...

Be it the Amruteshwar temple of Ratanwadi or the Siddheshwar temple in Akole village. These sculptural temples are very beautiful and the stone carvings on them are worth seeing.

The Jagdambamata temple at Tahakari is in the same row as this beautiful temple. The origin of the name Tahakari is very interesting. When Ravana killed Sita, Sita chanted 'Taho' in the same place in the name of Rama. The story behind the name is said to be that the place where she did Taho became known as 'Tahokari' meaning 'Tahakari'.

On the outside of the facade you can see Gemini sculptures. On the outer part of the temple, there are beautiful sculptures of Surasundari i.e. Apsaras. These sculptures of Surasundari should be seen in the Bhavani temple of Tahakari.

Rohan Gadekar wrote : 26 km northwest of Akole. This magnificent Yadav temple is situated on the banks of the river Aadhala. It is a three-dimensional temple with three gabharas. The barn has a shared hall. In the main sanctum sanctorum there is a wooden idol of Mahishasurmardini of eighteen hands mounted on a tiger. In the hands of this very pleasing and beautiful idol, various weapons are shown. Next to this idol is a rice of the goddess with a silver mask on it. The doorway of the main sanctum sanctorum is very beautiful.

The other two sanctum sanctorums of the temple have beautiful idols of Mahalakshmi on the east and Mahakali on the west. The hall of the temple is covered with many ornate pillars. Each column has a variety of carvings, sculptures, celebrities, shyness as well as geometric figures carved. The canopy of this pavilion is shown in eight directions by eight puppets being weighed by women.

Sidheshwar Mahadev Temple, Akole, Maharashtra

The Siddheshwar temple dates back to the 13th century. The temple is of Bhumij style and is composed of Mukhamandap, Sabhamandap, Antaral and Garbhagriha. Instead of entering from the main hall, the entrance is open from the back and the hall is locked.

The assembly hall of Siddheshwar temple bears witness to the splendor of the time. The temple has a triangular structure with a main hall and two sub-pavilions. It has very delicate carved pillars, Kirtimukhe, wreaths, sculptures of various deities and demons, some mythological events like Sagarmanthan, on the outside you can see all the treasures like Ashvadal, Gajdal.

[EP] Loshh mit neuer EP “akole”!

Der Londoner Künstler Loshh kündigt mit dem neuen Song „k“ (feat Obongjayar) die neue EP „akole“ für den 21. Oktober über Don’t Sleep Records an.

Mit einer energetischen Mischung aus Latin, Jazz und Afrobeat sowie den beiden Stimmen von Loshh und Obongiayar, ist „k“ eine zum Tanzen auffordernde Nummer. Da kommen Loshhs genannten Einflüsse wie Fela Kuti und King Sunny Ade nicht als eine Überraschung.

Percussions, Trompeten und schnelle Gitarrenläufe – die Musik von Loshh bringt den Sommer zurück ins Blut und macht Lust darauf, Loshh gemeinsam mit seiner sechs-köpfigen Band live zu sehen. Neben dem anstehenden Pitchfork Festival in Berlin am 06. November tourte Loshh bereits als Support für die wunderbaren Kokoroko.
