al knott doesn't get enough credit personally for female greaseball. yeah she originated the role but did you know shes the reason the role was even gender swapped??

Before the revival began proper production they workshopped it at artsed with three of the original wemb cast members as part of that class (Kanya Montecillo as Pearl, Asher Forth as Rusty and Al Knott as Greaseball)— Al only got greaseball because she specifically asked to have a go at singing pumping iron. Before that, revival Greaseball would've just been a copy of the original

Having AC/DC immediately followed by pumping iron is such an amazing portion of music because you go from one extreme to the other.

You get to go from a tenor absolutely giving everything and singing these high notes with what sounds like zero effort

To a mezzo absolutely belting her tits off with this massive powerhouse belt with hints of rock gravlyness

I just think it’s amazing how this one show has two completely different songs that still sound characters but show off the differences between characters
