Come my dear and be a part of my home
Missing stitch and flowers on a headstone
But I will crawl like a sinner to be at your feet
Should God or the devil ever ask for me
Oh my love, oh my love
My name is Qusai, I was born in Gaza and I am 16 years old. The war came and I was in the third preparation and I could not complete my studies. I had a house and a place to live in, but unfortunately it has been completely destroyed and our area is subjected to constant warnings and displacement of the population. I do not have any source of income. My father is unemployed after we had a bird shop where we rely on a source of income, but it is destroyed because of the war and we can hardly buy expensive food and because of famine and lack of money, we cannot manage ourselves with our simplest daily needs, so I hope you stand by my family and help make our lives better and make sure that no matter how much it is, no matter what it makes us happy and helps us make our lives better

I want to an all female cast or Hadestown. Yuritown
“Just go on AO3”
No I need to see yuri Hadestown with my own eyes you don’t understand yuri Hadestown will set us free—
Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as “problematic” in class and our professor was like, “That’s cool, but ‘problematic’ doesn’t really mean anything. It means that the thing you’re describing has a problem, and in and of itself that’s not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else it’s not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like you’re trying to say that this is bad, but you don’t want to say ‘bad.’ Is that right?”
So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the “bad” thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, “I’m uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.”
Once we stopped calling things “problematic” and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, “that’s racist” or “that’s misogynistic” or “ew capitalism gross” out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, “Uhhh... I’m not sure what’s so bad?” and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.
Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I can’t help but think of this professor being like, “Good starting point, now let’s get specific.” I think when we have to commit to saying “that’s ___” it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever we’re claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes it’s art, and it should be full of problems, because that’s what art is.
#'this is present in the text' is often a good first step #but those second and third ones (naming it; describing its function) are vital (via @elucubrare)

The World Is Celebrating Eid. My Family Is Melting Inside a Tent in Gaza

Dear friends of Palestine, friends of Gaza and friends of my family in Gaza!
FINALLY!!! We are at 99% of our goal in our campaign to evacuate the living hell of Gaza and rebuild our life in Ireland!
While people post Eid outfits, food, and family photos, my family in Gaza is trying to survive another day of bombs, hunger, fear, and unbearable heat.
There is NO safe place left in Gaza.
The bombardment continues every single day. The explosions never stop. And now summer has turned the tents they live in into literal ovens.
Imagine trying to sleep inside plastic and fabric under a burning sky while drones and airstrikes continue around you.
This is NOT a temporary hardship. My family has lived through this nightmare for more than two years.
Two years of displacement. Two years of terror. Two years of watching their lives collapse piece by piece.
I am in Ireland, studying and trying to build a future, while every day I fear getting the phone call that my family did not survive the night.
We have already come such a long way thanks to the incredible support from friends of Gaza and Palestine around the world. Truly, we would never have made it this far without you.
And now we are VERY close to reaching our final goal.
Our only goal is to evacuate my entire family from Gaza to Egypt temporarily, and then reunite safely together in Ireland.
Please do NOT abandon Gaza and my family because the headlines got quieter. Please don’t stop caring because the world moved on.
Share this. Reblog this. Donate if you can. Help me get my family out alive before it’s too late.

No words Can possibly describe how we feel seeing your support. It gives us much hope that we can reunite as a family and rebuild our life and safety. Family is everything. Life is absolutely absolutely absolutely meaningless and worthless without family.
This is why I’m doing everything humanly possible to get them all out and rebuild our life. But I’m not a superman. I’m only human being and I need your support on this humanitarian endeavor to save lives and bring a family together in safety out of the war ravaged Gaza.
Hello,
I am Jaafar from Gaza. I am currently in northern Gaza, and we have not yet been displaced to the south. Things are very difficult here — the cost of moving to the south is $1,000, and a single tent also costs $1,000, if we can even find a place in southern Gaza. The south is overcrowded, and renting a plot of land costs $1,000 per month, or even more depending on the area. 🙂😢
I started a donation campaign in the middle of the war and received good support, but due to personal circumstances, I recently created a new link, and unfortunately, I have only received a small amount of donations so far. 😓💔 I appeal to you to help me with my new campaign and donate whatever you can 🥺😭. Every amount you give will save the lives of my family and me and may help us cover the cost of moving to southern Gaza! 😓 Thank you, and I pray that God blesses you and provides for you 🧡🫂
Here is the donation link ⬇️**
