Yesterday I met with Maryam and Marwa from Youth Vision. My research is moving on the right track except that it may end up involving significantly more Arabic than I had originally intended, because apparently none of the other founders really like using English. I just spend the last hour listening to children's Arabic music, most of which I realized had religious tendencies about how important it is to pray and thanking God/Allah a lot. But hey, at least I'm understanding it. My life is slowly being taken over by Arabic and it makes me really happy. My research project has new hope. Life is good. :) I went to Rustaq this morning with Haifa's brother and his wife (her family is there). It was fun. She had a sister-in-law interested in teaching Arabic in America... She and Marwa from Youth Vision seemed genuinely interested in working for Al-Waha. Everything is full of potential. and In Sha Allah it will all work out wonderfully. :)
