My photo. Taken of the bric-a-brac shelves from the back of the Sue Ryder Peterborough charity shop. For me, charity shops, car boot sales, flea markets and junk shops make some of the most magnificent maximalist scenes.

Looking through these vibrant, lucky dip of shapes and colours truly sparks joy for me, especially if I find something I love to take home.

When I worked for Sue Ryder marketing their charity shops, their online descriptions written by the shop managers always included the words ‘Aladdin’s cave’ and ‘treasure trove.’ A bit cliché once you’ve read over 450 of them, but a picture like this sums it up nicely.
