A few of AlaHadrat’s Unique Habits:
» He never kept any ordinary book on the books of Ahadith. » He would be displeased if anyone spoke out unnecessarily while he explained the Ahadith. » He did not prefer anyone to sit with one leg onto the lap of the other leg. He would usually sit with both knees erect. » He would sit in the position of Tashahhud from the beginning to the end in a Mawlid Gathering which sometimes lasted for 5 or 6 hours. » He would never chew paan during a lecture. » On hearing the name "Muhammad", he would immediately say "SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam." » He would never laugh out aloud. » He slept in the position of the Arabic form of the word "Muhammad". » He would never spit or stretch his feet in the direction of the Qiblah. » He always did everything form the right-hand-side. Alayhir Rahmat al-Mannan.
It is narrated in "Hayaat-e-AlaHadrat" that once, mail was presented to my master, AlaHadrat, Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Mawlana, Ash-Shah Imam Ahmad Rida Khan (Alayhir Rahmat al-Mannan) and it had a few letters which were filled with profanities. His devotees were fired up and wanted to file a suit against the people who had mailed those letters. Imam-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Mawlana, Ash-Shah Imam Ahmad Rida Khan (Alayhir Rahmat al-Mannan) told them to first distribute gifts amongst those who sent letters of praise him, only then file a suit against those who wrote those indecent letters.

The Train Kept Halted!
Once, AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) was traveling from Peelibhit to Bareilly by train. During the journey, the train stopped at Nawab Ganj train station for two minutes. Since the time of Maghrib Salah had started, AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) came out of the train along with his companions to offer Salah on the platform. The companions were worried as to what they would do if the train departed, but AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) was very calm. He (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) got the Adhan uttered and started the congregational Salah of Maghrib. On the other hand, the driver turned the ignition on, but mysteriously, the train did not move at all. Senior officers, the station master and other people assembled to look into the problem. The driver told them that there was no engine trouble. Suddenly, a Pundit (Hindu priest) yelled, “Look over there! A ‘Darvesh’ is praying, perhaps that’s the reason why the train is not moving!” AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) was mobbed by a lot of people. Having completed his Salah, as soon as AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) boarded the train along with his followers, the train started moving.
