Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem This is the resting place of Imam Abu Hanifa radiAllahu anhu. He is the greatest Imam of this Ummah who was blessed to see the Companions of Rasūlullāh ﷺ. He would teach all day and spend the whole night in tearful prayer and supplication. Imam Mis'ar said that he once saw the Imam recite the entire Quran in a single rak'ah. He was extremely generous and would graciously honour the poor and needy. The Imam once noticed a man who owed him 10,000 dirhams hiding so he went to him, forgave him of the entire debt, and amazing apologised for causing the man any type of The Leader Abu Ja'far al-Mansur who was the Abbasid ruler wanted Imam Abu Hanifa to be the Chief Judge of the Muslims but he said no because did not want to be part of a corrupt regime. He felt that scholars often get used by leaders to issue rulings which justified their evil. Mansur was so angered by this that he arrested Imam Abu Hanifa and had him tortured in prison but the great Imam refused to change his stance. He carried on teaching in prison until he passed away. Imam al-Shafi'i would visit his grave when he went to Iraq and he said everyone is indebted to Imam Abu Hanifa in Fiqh.

#Heart | Within the chest of man is a piece of flesh that can make you or break you. It can win or loss you, and it will be that which determines how your afterlife will end up.

This piece of flesh is something that most of us tend to neglect compared to our other body parts, and it is the heart. As was mentioned in a narration about our Beloved Prophet ﷺ.

While it is important to take care of the external by excersing and eating healthy, we should keep in mind what Hassan al Basri once said:

"Treat your hearts, for what Allah wants from people is the wellbeing of their hearts." [Jami' al-Ulum wa al-Hikam]

And the same goes for our worship. It is a very great matter that the believers should know the details of the outter limbs when it comes to wudu, salah, etc. But we should beware of making these things mere habitual acts and daily routines. Abu al-Darda' said the following:

"Seek Allah's protection from hypocritical reverence. When he was asked, "What is hypocritical reverence?" He said: It is for you to see a reverent body while the heart is not." [Shu'ab al-Iman]

It is also important to understand, that the external is a reflection of the internal. If in the heart there is hate, the body will reflect that hate through our actions. If there is love, it will reflect that love through our actions. The body follows eveything that the heart tells it to do. Abu Hurayrah said:

"The heart is the king and the limbs are its soldiers. So if the king is good, his soldiers will be good. And if he is evil, his soldiers will be evil." [Shu'ab al-Iman]

One should also note that the the external plays a role on the internal. So beware of what you gaze upon, and also on what you lend your ear to. For some of these things can lead the heart to have sinful desires and emotions.

The cure to the diseases and reformation of the body begins with this one piece of flesh. And our Beloved Messenger ﷺ told us the cure, as is reported in Sahih Muslim.

"Taqwa (mindfulness of God) is here" while pointing at his chest.

May Allah allow us to be of those who are mindful of Him so that our hearts are rectified and our actions are correct. Ameen!

The Ummayads wanted Imam Abu Hanifa QaddassAllahu Sirrahu to be their judge but he refused, so they imprisoned him for approximately ten days and they lashed him throughout his time in jail. A revolution took place and the Abbassids took over. The Abbassid Khalifah approached Imam Abu Hanifa desiring him to be the Qadi (Chief Judge)

What did Imam Abu Hanifa say? 'The reality is that I'm unqualified for the post.' The Caliph was infuriated and said, 'You are a liar! You are the most qualified scholar in this entire region!' Imam Abu Hanifa was a pure genius who was extremely wary of fitna, being accused of being a 'Sellout', and being lowered in the sight of the average Muslim by being deemed a puppet, so he replied, 'You also admitted that I'm not qualified!' The Khalifah was perplexed and exclaimed, 'HOW!?'

Imam Abu Hanifa beautifully said, 'You called me a liar and a liar is not worthy of being a Qadi. But if you now say that you were only using a term and expression to vent your frustration then you admit that I am truthful — hence you accept that I am unqualified.' This was the character and purity of this wonderful man. May Allah make us all humble servants, protect us from the fitna of this world, keep us loyal to this ummah, and allow us to only serve the King of Kings — Allah, Almighty is He.'

AlaHazrat Imam Ahmad Rida Khan (Alayhir Rahmah) has stated, “All the parts of a Halal animal are Halal except a few ones which are either Haram or prohibited or Makruh. They include:

1. Veins blood

2. Gall bladder

3. Bladder

4-5. Genitals of male and female [animals]

6. Testicles

7. Glands

8. Spinal marrow

9. Tendons that stretch from the neck to the shoulders

10. Liver-blood

11. Spleenblood

12. Meat-blood emanating from meat after the slaughter

13. Heart-blood

14. Bile or gall i.e. a yellowish fluid in gall bladder.

15. Nasal fluid mostly found in sheep

16. Anus

17. Guts

18. Intestines

19. Sperm

20. The sperm that has turned into blood

21. The sperm that has turned into a piece of flesh and

22. The one that has turned into a complete animal and was born dead or born alive but died without being slaughtered.”
