Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem This is the resting place of Imam Abu Hanifa radiAllahu anhu. He is the greatest Imam of this Ummah who was blessed to see the Companions of Rasūlullāh ﷺ. He would teach all day and spend the whole night in tearful prayer and supplication. Imam Mis'ar said that he once saw the Imam recite the entire Quran in a single rak'ah. He was extremely generous and would graciously honour the poor and needy. The Imam once noticed a man who owed him 10,000 dirhams hiding so he went to him, forgave him of the entire debt, and amazing apologised for causing the man any type of The Leader Abu Ja'far al-Mansur who was the Abbasid ruler wanted Imam Abu Hanifa to be the Chief Judge of the Muslims but he said no because did not want to be part of a corrupt regime. He felt that scholars often get used by leaders to issue rulings which justified their evil. Mansur was so angered by this that he arrested Imam Abu Hanifa and had him tortured in prison but the great Imam refused to change his stance. He carried on teaching in prison until he passed away. Imam al-Shafi'i would visit his grave when he went to Iraq and he said everyone is indebted to Imam Abu Hanifa in Fiqh.
