Happy Birthday, Harold Ramis!
“Wanna get drunk?” “... Sure.”
Harold Ramis Filmography Part Three
Steven Buchner (Baby Boom, 1987)
Alan Appleby (Stealing Home, 1988)
[Part One] | [Part Two] | [Part Four] | [Part Five]
Talking to @writeforfandoms about how Alan Appleby and Russell Ziskey are both losers but like, slightly different flavors of loser and came to two conclusions:
1: Ziskey is the embodiment of the 'I wonder who that's for' and 'It's a good thing I can't read' memes.
2: The difference between Appleby and Ziskey is that whereas Ziskey is just a straight-up scrungly loser boy, Appleby at least has the pretense of class and is much more articulated and good with words, but he's still a crass, horny little freak. A gilded loser, if you will.
Alan "The Horse" Appleby
this lives in my mind rent free
Just watched Stealing home and... am I the only one who thinks Alan is way more interesting than Bill? First: he’s Jonathan Silverman (young) and Harold Ramis (adult)!!! Second: he’s a funny, horny bastard! Third: he’s just so charming and witty! And... is it after the rendez-vous with the older woman that he became Alan *The Horse* Appleby? 😏😏😄
