Hi Ally. You won't know who I am, but know that I'm very glad I found your page. I've been down in the dumps recently, both musically and generally, so I went in search of one of my oldest and greatest inspirations, an old music teacher of mine - Alan Cook. I was horrified to find almost no information on him whatsoever, until I stumbled across a solitary picture that linked to this tumblr page. I simply wanted to express my thanks for helping me relive the memories! Joe.
Hi Joe, thanks very much for your message. I'm sorry to hear you've been down in the dumps recently -- I have been too, so I can empathise. I'm glad my picture of Alan gave you a boost. He was an inspiration to me too; an endlessly fascinating, knowledgable, enthusiastic and supportive person. I didn't know him for long but he made a huge impression on me. I'm glad to know you remember him with the same fondness as I do.

Just found out one of my college teachers have passed away.
I have never met anyone with such a beautiful passion and understanding for music. He gave me confidence in my abilities that he'll never know he gave me and showed me how to truly appreciate music, showed me that my love for singing still existed more than ever.
He suffered for so long and I'm glad that he's finally at peace. It brings life into perspective when such an inspirational, talented and selfless man has to endure such pain. It's beyond wrong.
Rest in peace.
