Recentemente mi sono sentita particolarmente scema e superficiale. Dei tanti motivi che avrebbero potuto farmi sentire così (vivere in un sistema che avalla lo sfruttamento, leggerezze verso il prossimo, comportamenti antiecologici e chi più ne ha più ne metta), il vincitore è stato Blade Runner. Blade Runner? Il film che hai visto decine e decine di volte? Quello tratto dal romanzo del tuo scrittore preferito?
Sì, perché a quasi 37 anni (questione di giorni), ho finalmente scoperto perché si chiama Blade Runner e non "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?". E lo scoperto non perché finalmente mi sia fatta una cazzo di domanda banale (ma da dove cazzo esce Blade Runner?), ma perché all'ennesima visione mi cade l'occhio sul nome di William Burroughs nei titoli di coda. Egli ha concesso i diritti per il titolo. "Blade Runner (a movie)" è la riscrittura da parte di Burroughs in soggetto cinematografico del romanzo "Blade Runner" di Alan Nourse.
E niente, mi sono dovuta procurare il romanzo di Nourse (edito nell'81 da Urania come "medicorriere" e tragicamente mancante dalla collezione di mio padre) per redimermi. Che sacrificio.
