AU where Aleksander Morozova and Alina Starkov have a connection and are the balance of each other. Known by Darkling, the king needs Alina – posteriorly known by Brightning – so that he doesn’t totally succumb to the darkness he communs. Alina hopes to find balance before she get killed in he small village for communing light and being too good.
