We lived in the low tide for months, quiet and distant, only for the water to rush back in, heavy and warm, pulling us right back to each other’s shores.
we lost power and I wanted to eat some canned mandarin oranges but our can opener is electric. thankfully my dad saved the day by cutting the can open with a swiss army knife.
