The story is set in an alternative universe where Adar has led the Uruk to the sea to become pirates rather than turning the Southlands into Mordor. The events transpire during the Second Age, with a slight change to the timeline around Sauron's return and the destruction of Númenor.
The Ghost Elf and his spectral crew are wreaking havoc across the vast Sundering Sea. Admiral Vëanelen is on a mission to keep the waters safe for all seafarers. However, she soon uncovers a concealed agenda behind the reports of piracy, revealing a bigger danger to the free peoples of Middle-earth.
On the previous chapter, the Falmari Admiral beared witness of the hostile takeover led by Adar and his most trusted captain of the pleasure barge that carried a Númenórean petty lord —Elön Mírener— who multiplied his wealth by trafficking Peredhil and Atani from Middle-Earth for forced labour.
But it’s not allegorical 😉
The Sea is always right, and the Sea sent the Uruk fleet to dispense justice.
