Between Worlds Series

I realized I don’t have a comprehensive post with all of my “spones raise Jo” fics, so I thought I’d make one!

Series summary: A collection of stories following McCoy’s and Spock's misadventures raising Joanna onboard the Enterprise. Takes place in an AU in which the Enterprise is on a ten-year mission instead of a five-year one purely for my own agenda.

Part 1: Spock and McCoy find a baby in the rubble of a destroyed Outpost. McCoy makes a rash decision.

Part 2: A collection of Joanna's firsts.

Part 3: Spones get married!

Part 4: Spock and McCoy have their honeymoon on Vulcan. The whole family discovers a little bit more about each other.

Part 5: A story of how two men, eventually, find one another. Spones retelling of tos canon. (Pre-Joanna, can stand alone)

Part 6: Joanna celebrates her first birthday. Spock reflects on his own childhood and the first few months of his relationship with McCoy.

Part 7: They adopt another. (Joanna is 2)

Part 8: Amanda sends Joanna a kit for constructing gingerbread houses. (Joanna is 3)

Part 9: 5 (or more) times Spock and Bones try to have their first date and fail and one time they finally do. (Pre-Joanna)

Part 10: Joanna gets injured several times, forcing McCoy and Spock to consider what they want her future to look like. (Joanna is 4)

Nothing compares to you is one my fAVOURITE fics. I’m currently rereading it for the ... fifth time, I think?? That moment at the end of chapter 1 when anakin tells Obi wan to get out of his room? Man, I’m just imagining Obi wan standing outside anakin’s apartment with the most heartbroken expression on his face and 🥺🥺🥺 I love this fic so much. It’s simultaneously delightful and heart rending 😔

Thank you 🥰 Anakin is really awful to Obi-Wan in the first chapter and then he's bewildering in all the subsequent ones. I haven't written a fic with POV switches yet and this would the weirdest one to try it with, but I'm with you, Obi-Wan's expression would be most heartbroken. I'm glad you're liking the fic! It's another one in the genre of "abrupt tonal shift" but with an Anakin POV I like to think of it as a feature rather than a bug, you know?

from a half-baked toxic!aldflaed modern au where aldhelm is head of security for aethelred and aethelflaed. i didn't even try to keep this to six sentences, oh well.

“Tired or bored?” Aldhelm asks, tapping his fingers on the beveled edge of the desk where she rests.

Aethelflaed frowns.

“You came back early because you were tired," he continues in a tone of forced patience, raising his eyebrows, "Or because you were bored?”

She raises her chin and crosses her arms. “Bored.”

He lays a hand over her thigh and turns back to the monitors. “How long do we have?”

“A few hours. I can’t tell how quickly he’ll tire. Depends on who else is at the party.” Aethelflaed shifts closer. “I don’t want to fuck in the security closet.”

“Please.” Aldhelm makes a pained face as he looks up at her. “Please, it’s an office, at the very least.”
