PRINCE OF MONACO // IL PRINCIPE DI MONACO

The Serene Diaries: Albie comes home today!!
September 20. Early evening. Sitting at Nice Airport waiting for my honey with Monac.
Albie comes home tonight. Should be landing anytime. I'm sitting at his private gate, waiting to surprise him, and have dinner staying warm in the oven at Le Roc. Went to one of the shops, and found a magazine-with my face on it, finally! It's in French though. I bought it anyway. Albie can translate it for me later.
I look horrible. Almost if they airbrushed the photo. Oh well, Albie will like it anyway.
I think I see his our plane! He's here!! Gotta run.
The Serene Diaries: Albie is away again. :(
Sept 19. Le Roc. Early afternoon.
To do:
Arrange for the kids to get picked up at school (Pauline? Wait. I can call security now to get them! I knew this official status thing would come in handy): You're playing Tante Charlene for a while tonight.
Text the kids (Chrissy at College FANB-she'll tell Alex, Alexia at Elementary FANB, and Vittoria's teacher at Maternal FANB, and Camille at College Charles III)
Call Mama
Call Albie (ugh...he's away without me again. I miss him! Georgia this time. Left yesterday. For three days. I'm running on sleeping pills and sleeping in one of his shirts again.)
eat lunch
meeting of the Monaco Fashion Week Committee at 13H
meeting of Monaco's Red Cross at 13H30
meeting of my fundraising committee for the giving tree at 16H
meeting with Cecile & co on Ladies Lunch next month at 17H
The Serene Diaries: And so the school year begins!
September 13th. Le Roc. Early morning. Albie is asleep next to me, Monac is at our feet, asleep.
HA! How did I know? BOTH Cecile and Donatella called me after dropping off their kids at school.
God, I hope I'm not like them when I become a mother! Bored housewives...
wait-I won't be, I have to help run a principality with my husband! SCORE.
Monaco Princess 1, Bored housewives, 0!
I invited them to meet me at the palace for breakfast and to pal around with me for a while today. We had breakfast and a relaxing morning-Albie had left early for a couple of meetings, and my first thing wasn't until afternoon anyway. Cecile and I chatted about November's Ladies Lunch meeting, Dona listened, and offered her input. Hum-mm....maybe. The ladies don't seem like Dona's thing though...
Afternoon meetings went well. Called Mama, had dinner with Albie, went home and cuddled. Then Albie and I made an appearance at a cocktail reception hosted by the government...Albie said it was a gathering of re-insurers has been held in the Principality for more than 50 years and is regarded as the number-one global event in the annual re-insurance calendar.
Albie woke up, looked at me, squeezed, and kissed my hand just now. Then he got up, patted Monac's head, and went to the bathroom.
Our conversation:
Albie: Whatcha doing awake, honey? Are you okay? We don't have to be up yet.
Me: Fine. Can't sleep. Just woke up a bit ago. Was thinking of getting up and making some tea and feeding our dog baby. Then crawling back into bed with my husband for an early morning cuddle.
Albie: I'll make the tea if you feed the baby. Meet you back in bed in 10. Speaking of babies...honey...
me: Albie, can we not go there right now, please? We have enough problems right now, don't you think?
Albie: I love you.
Me: (feeding Monac in the kitchen now) "I love you" is supposed to fix everything, eh?
Albie: I hope it does.
Me: for now it does, anyway. I love you too.
A few minutes later, we were cuddling in our bed both with a cup of tea. After Albie finished his, he promptly went back to sleep, and Monac rejoined us after devouring his breakfast.
Well, only a little bit until I *need* to be awake, so I'm going to attempt to sleep a bit more, and cuddle with my hubby.
The Serene Diaries: Gala #3 in just as many days!
September 3rd, Geneva, Switzerland. Our hotel.
Whew! I'm used to traveling a lot with Albie, but lately, I don't even know what coutry where in! Ha! Yesterday it was Leeds, England...today Geneva, Switzerland, tomorrow, back home! We spend more time in that damned jet than in our own bed!
Called Donatella between our travels (hotel to airport in Leeds) to check in on my dog baby. She said he was doing fine, hanging out with her kids and my nieces.
Lou leaves for school again soon. He seems more confident this year than last. Liney's getting more focused on London 2012. Mama flew up for a couple of weeks in August to help her a bit, which was nice of her. Plus I got to see Mama while she was in town.
Attended another Gala tonight, with babe. For the WWF. We coordinated in green. Him with his tie, me with my dress. Again, when in our room at the hotel, he zipped up my dress then kissed me, and I tied his tie and kissed him. It's becoming our thing to do that.
Babe made a speech at the gala, I continued practicing my French in conversation. Albie said it would get easier as I went along and to just keep on going.
We left the gala at 1am, exhausted, on the way back here, we cuddled, he kissed me, and told me how proud of me he was.
I love him more and more every day, even if his stupidity makes me want to kill him sometimes.
The Serene Diaries: Traveling, and England, and Galas
September 4th, Leeds, England. 2AM. Just getting back to our hotel from the Charity Gala we attended.
To do:
Drop Monac off at Donatella's for a couple of days
Finish packing for Leeds & Geneva
Call Mama
Dishes
Gather stuff for plane ride
find dramamine
Call Christiane
pick up dog food
shower
cuddle with Albie
We attended the Variety Club Golden Jubilee Ball at Harewood House tonight, after flying in and checking into our hotel this morning. We both showered when we got here, and started getting ready after lunch.
Albie zipped up my dress, then kissed my neck. I tied his tie, and kissed him. We flirted for the cameras when we arrived. We arrived with David Wilson, his wife Gail, Stephen Bolton, and his wife Robina, so we all posed for a photo for the press. Albie kept being flirty with me. Kept letting his hand slip a little lower on my back than he usually does (in public anyway)...and whispering suggestive things in my ear. I thought it was kinda sexy of him actually. Wish he'd treat me like that more often in public, rather than his little "buddy", I am his wife now afterall. I think he still feels terrible about those stupid rumors surrounding our wedding.
Well, babe wants to cuddle a bit before going to sleep. Going to oblige. I think he wants to give me a massage. Not going to object to that! :)
Leaving here for Monaco for Pierre's 24th birthday.

The Serene Diaries: Gala 1, check...Leeds...here we come!
September 3, early morning. Le Roc, packing for our weekend in Leeds.
Albie attended the Monegasque association 'the friends of Lebanon' (Les Amis du Liban gala solo last night-I was way to exhausted after chasing 5 kids for two days and cleaning like a madwoman up here to go, plus I had to pack both of us for Leeds. I fell asleep on the sofa shortly after he left, and woke up to him carrying me to bed. I wrapped my arms around his neck, then kissed him softly. We cuddled in bed for a long time after that, it was so nice just to relax, just the two of us. Then my dog baby, Monac ran in and joined us. I'm surprised he didn't follow Albie in our room when he carried me into bed. Must've been asleep somewhere too.
Charlie called me at one point last night. Left me a voicemail, wanting me to call her to talk about the Cartier Exhibitation she went to. I called her today. We chatted for a while, then Albie talked to her. Then the bomb was dropped in our emails- Christiane, one of Albie's closest advisers, has decided to leave us, she sent us both her letter of resignation. We had the press office announce it a day later. Sad to see her go, but if a better opportunity arose for her, go for it. Babe seemed so stressed after announcing that she was leaving. Poor thing. Gotta try to relax him. I HATE seeing him like this.
Worked with my trainer a bit today-gotta keep that Princess body somehow! Plus, the better I look, the less likely his eyes will wonder away from me. Wonder if he'll wander when I get pregnant-if I ever get pregnant! It's sooo frustrating! We keep trying, and no luck! We've been trying since January 2011, and...nothing.
ugh. more later. stressing myself out now just THINKING about that.
CdM :)
The Serene Diaries: Crazy busy!
September 1st. Le Roc. Early morning.
BUSY couple of days! Albie and I attended the 100th anniversary of the Golf Club of Monte Carlo one of the afternoons we had the kids. I looked so tired in some of the pics! Too much time trying to keep a couple of kids quiet all night I guess. Albie kept flirting and telling me little jokes to keep me awake though. Went back to palace prinicer after that with Albie, picked up Monac from Virgina, and did some charity things, then ran to the store, picked up the kids from Steph's, then headed back home, got home, and collapsed on the couch attempting to start dinner-nearly burned the place down (thanks to Chrissy's quick thinking to turn the burners off, nothing happened!). Albie brought pizzas back for the kids again.
Summer's winding down, the kids are complaining about having to go back to school soon. Alex and Chrissy will be at College FANB, Alexia at FANB's elementary level, and Vittoria will be in the last year of pre-school at FANB, and Andrea will be joining her at FANB this year. Which means, Miss Donatella will be free to pal around with me during the day. yay. Antoine will be starting high school, Camille will be continuing at the junior high, and Liney, is well , Liney. Loulou is continuing University, as is...well, Albie's daughter. His son will be in school too. Our daughter? Our son? I don't know. I guess they are my...stepchildren? Whatever. not like we ever see them anyway. She didn't even call US when we got married!
Ohhhh....Albie's awake. And wants to cuddle with his princess. Later.
