Artist Feature #10 is the writer/ artist team of Alberto Rayo and Diego Revelo! Alberto has been a comic book writer since he was seventeen.Though he normally works on fanzines, he’s recently been trying something different. Diego is a manga and comic book artist as well as a writer.
Together, Alberto and Diego wrote and illustrated the story, “Mestizo,” a fictionalized retelling of the 2017 Peruvian census. In the comic, a volunteer census-taker named Lucas navigates new territory when the ballot requires him to ask each family to identify their racial background for the first time in their country’s history.
