27. Is your muse a dreamer or a realist?
*SONDER. dreamer. she loves thinking about things and how they could be rather than how they really are. being a realist is so cramped in her eyes, and she loves feeling more free and having a wide imagination. it definitely makes her more optimistic, being a dreamer; she looks at possibilities more than realities and can base her views and ideals on things that are more enjoyable. light really strives to change things for the better all the time and she’ll take her dreams and views and do the best she can to make them real and do away with the harsh things that some people would rather focus on.
einfühlungsvermögen
meme
einfühlungsvermögen: a deep understanding of someone's feelings, thoughts and motives that are easily comprehended by yourself.
“We’re not connected by our light, but by our shadows.”
Oz keeps his face hidden behind his textbook, hoping that somewhere his gaze can just stay permanently glued and he won’t have to look Gilbert in the eye. Not out of shame, no, never--it was out of a sort of embarrassment. Embarrassment of the fact that Gilbert knew. Knew that he needed this... something constant, something that encouraged him rather than discarded him.
Someone that simply understood the darkest, most abused parts of him. He could feel the smile on Gilbert’s face without even looking at him, the air between them seeming mutual. In that moment, they both understood one another, how they ran and operated at the core compared to what everybody else saw.
Slowly, Oz lowers the book. “... I think so too.” he whispers, “I think so too.”
herzschmerz
meme
herzschmerz: heartache; and emotional pain the heart.
“Are you sure it’s alright to leave him alone?”
I don’t think so. Oz answers the mans question for him, his hands clenching the bed sheets. He didn’t feel like sleeping. He didn’t feel like eating. Just... awake. Alert. Empty. He’s well acquainted with this sensation, a hopeless sort of resolution that it simply cannot get any worse than this. Heh, that’s a joke. Silent, he waits until the voices from beyond the door dissipate, their footsteps out of hearing range.
Slow, he pulls himself upright in the bed, drawing his legs under him and sitting criss-cross on the mattress. I can’t sleep. He sits and listens to the grandfather clock, feels the exhaustion in his limbs. He sits and listens a little longer, hears the clock chime a few times ringing off different hours. It grew hard to keep his eyes open and watch the moonlight sweep out and across the room from under the curtains. I can’t...
Tears well up in the blond’s eyes, a soft hiccup escaping him as the first of them begin to trail down his cheeks. Again, he hiccups, a soft cry sounding like a scream in the silence. He chokes out a sob, his hands pressing into his eyes and feeling the warm, wet tears dripping down his face as his chest aches like a wound. In the darkness, he trembles, knees drawing up and arms hugging them close to his chest as he buries his face against his knees. He quiets down, the tears less severe, and feels the aching gap in his chest where and Uncle should be. It chokes him to even think of that moment, the unknowing.
At some point, he feels himself doze off, without hearing the quiet footsteps of Gilbert and Alice (both woken up by the noise). He doesn’t feel them rest themselves on each side of the bed, or notice them fall asleep along with him.
