albie’s interference is entirely unexpected and raihan nearly appears to be annoyed by the shorter man hopping in so recklessly. the wild animal charging from the edge of the woods does not seem to slow in its gait, thick teeth gleaming and bared. raihan immediately produces duraludon’s pokéball from his pocket and doesn’t even waste time to throw it, instead pressing the release button and allowing the device to flip open in his palm.

duraludon appears before albie in a flash of red and white. without pause, the pokémon’s eyes flash as it crashes the steel chassis of its broad arm into the raging animal, earning a loud yelp.

placing a firm hand on albie’s shoulder, raihan gives the younger man a kind yet intense smile.

you already know! raihan is a highly-skilled trainer who utilizes weather effects and team synergy in battle. while he prefers to battle at his stadium in doubles, he’s just as good at singles. raihan is the type to dissect every battle he partakes in so that he can adapt and learn. he believes that every trainer has something unique to bring to battle.

um oh god? it’s hard to pick just one, but i’m going to go ahead and pop out a fresh headcanon since we don’t know anything about his background!

raihan grew up a huge mommy’s boy. like, he would come sprinting home from school or whatever to show his mom something new he learned. as he got older, he’d bring other things home to bring her, like things he found, friends he made, etc. his mom was always so excited to see what her little boy was bringing home! when he got to becoming a pokemon trainer, it started getting difficult to do that. so he started taking pictures.

the selfies and streams he records are usually posted on his social media, which his mom follows, but sometimes he’ll take pictures or videos exclusively for her. for instance, the first defeat picture he took with leon.
