I also found these cute hollyhocks as well! (Which I did not plant) I’m used to the yellow ones being more common so these pink and yellow ones are a nice treat. :3
Botany facts!! Hollyhocks are mallows along with hibiscus, marshmallow, and– strangely enough– chocolate and durian. They are entirely edible, though not necessarily palatable due to the texture of the leaves. I tried making stir fry with the leaves once and it was like eating a wet rough fabric and was a generally bad sensory experience.
