Equipment Alchemy + Awakening
The Equipmemt Alchemy Workshop is where you can alchemize weapons and armors to make them reach greater potential. Doing so it will increase Strength/Defence stat, add an extra main skill, upgrade skill classe on subskill slots, upgrade the main skill, and change the look of the equipment.
To alchemize you need specific alchemy material that are quite rare to obtain, but not impossible.
Awakening is specific to weapons, where they become at its strongest. As of now it is limited to only 4 Weapons. The Rubiss Sword, Rubiss Bow, Golden Dragon Hammer, and Golden Dragon Whip.
Awakening raises the Attack of these weapons drastically, raise skill class, Awaken a skill slot, and obtain an EX skill that loads in battle each time you attack or recieve damage. Once the EX skill loads up, you can only use it once per battle.

The first you can view the whole list of Alchemizable Equipment, whether you own them or not. You can alchemize through here.
The second will show you what equipment you can alchemize judging from equipmemt and alchemy material you own. If you don't have any of them you won't see anything here. Basically it shows you what is ready, and you can alchemize through here.
The last is to view you alchemy material bag. It'll show to you the materials you own and how many.
You can find Alchemy Materials through the Merchant Shop. You can spend Points or exchange event tickets for these materials. Another method is obtaining them as drops from the Cathedral of Vocation Gods. They are quite rare so it is hard to get them through drops. Final way to obtain them is from certain limited events. Sometimes there are events where you obtain them as prizes for earning points by playing through the event.
Also if you try to Alchemize an equipment already equipped to your character or if the equipment is locked, it will not allow you to alchemize. You will need to first unequip and/or unlock the equipment you wish to Alchemize(same goes for Awakening) then proceed to Alchemizing or Awakening the equipment.
Now onto Awakening.
You can only Awaken weapons by buying its Awakening Stone through the Merchamt Shop by using points, or as a reward from a specific event.
If the specific weapon is already Alchemized and you want to Awaken it you need use an extra Awakening material, which is only obtainable by purchasing 1280gems(1200yen) after obtaining your Star Adventurer Passport and exchange it with the 3 coins you obtain after purchasing the gems in the Star Adventurer Passport Shop.
You can only Awaken a weapon by Evolving it fully. You can reverse the Awakening by going to the Alchemy Workshop and using the specific materials it asks for. As for a good reason to reversing the Awakening would be because you want to use its main skill that can only obtain from Alchemizing it.
Personally I feel Awakening the weapon is it's highest form over Alchemy, so I advise that you decide first on either Awakening or Alchemizing if you have the certain weapon that can be Awakened. You don't want to waste rare precious materials going back and forth.
