So... I had a really cool Shader dream about what she did with her life waiting for Florette, how she fought when serious, etc. So in the dream I think "this is a cool dream, I'd better write it down" so I dreamt about trying to find notepad on my computer, then choosing a graphic for the folder I was supposed to put it in and finding good Shader pictures. So by the end, I forgot the original badass dream and now I just remember a weird dream with a folder with weird palette swaps of the characters in hopes of finding one good picture of Shader to use as the icon for a folder. Why couldn't I remember the cool part?!

omg I have no idea how old this is, I’m sorry, hopefully it’s cool for me to respond this way! I think I only ever see ask notifs on my desktop for some reason?? And I mostly use tumblr on my phone these days so...oooops. (And sorry to people that sent me anon messages in the last....year....??? and haven’t gotten a response, I only just now saw them and I’m not sure how relevant these are anymore oh no). But this is a fantastic dream, lol. I have literally done something super similar to this in real life--I have a folder of pictures of Fiore for some...character analysis post or whatever I was going to do at some point, but it was years ago so now I don’t remember what the post was about AT ALL. Also my husband loves hearing stories about weird dreams so I told him about this one and he’s delighted, thank you.

Day 5: I bought this cool book filled with alchemical illustrations and on one page there's this cute lop-eared dragon! I had to draw him. I love medieval creature drawings <3

With all the sessrin terribleness, I thought long about different human/nonhuman as well as age gap pairings I've seen over the years. And yes, Rosette and Chrono has their problems. But they're equals, and he takes her straight to the order so he by no means raises her himself, mostly the order raised her. As long as he's sealed, he doesn't seem to grow much more mentally or physically, so Rosette treats him as younger for a while until she really realizes that he really is older than her which is around when she starts having feelings for him. He seems to have put his feelings on the sideline so if she falls for someone else, he wouldn't be against it unless said partner was an abusive...

I mean I ship Joshua/Aion, so like...I am no stranger to problematic ships, haha. My main opinion is just like “it’s fiction, don’t harm real people and be aware that not everything is good irl, no big deal.”

Come to think of it, Chrono’s like...kind of possessive, I guess, (at least in the first two chapters) but he definitely doesn’t seem jealous romantically. There’s some early stuff that makes it seem like he’s jealous of Remington because of Rosette’s crush on him, but I think that’s an intentional misdirection, since we later learn Chrono and Remington have known each other for a LONG time, so...I think when Chrono gives Remington a side-eye when Rosette is interacting with him, what’s actually going on is...the latent tension left over between Remington and Chrono as sort of rivals while they knew each other in 1870 (which eventually comes to a head at Aion’s beachfront house). I *think* that’s what’s going on there.

From what I’ve seen of his work, Moriyama likes to splash around in problematic tropes but *generally* at least likes to deal with them with some complexity (Satella and The Elder’s running gags are the only exceptions I can think of), and that’s more or less what I like to do so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ YE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN etc

Thank you very much, I'm doing alright! ^^ Well now I'm drawing mostly for Genshin but I want to come back to draw for Zelda too. Tbh I needed break from making Zelda fanart cause at some point I started to feel like I'm drawing just for someone to like my art than for myself and I was unhappy with it and quickly burned out >~< I hope you're doing well too! (*^ω^*)/)
