[Um, I need ALL your headcanons about Adriel and Remi pls. I don't know why I never thought about them existing in the same world before but I am seriously intrigued.]
{To sum it up: Adriel does something dickish and constantly talks down to Remi cause she is a “monster” and Remi responds with a big “fuck you” and threatens his life. Yet, for whatever reason, Adriel doesn’t smite her like might be expected from him. Instead he sticks around and decides annoying the shit out of her is a better punishment.
- He calls her ‘monster’ and she calls him ‘dick’ or ‘angel boy’ or ‘feathered king of dick land’. Depends on her mood really.
- They have a very antagonistic relationship, but overtime they do work rather well together. Adriel even follows her lead sometimes cause damn she can be intimidating when she wants to be.
- He would never admit it but he finds her fascinating, even more so than humans sometimes. To him she is just a monster who would give her own life to save a failed humanity no more worthy of living than herself.
- She was never one for prayer and the first time she really tried it out she ended up with an angelic jackass that wouldn’t leave her alone.}
The world is filled with wicked intent. Good and Evil. Saint and Monster. The catch is discovering who stands on each side.

"Be certain of what you're asking me. Say yes and nothing will make our contract null."
“Are you sayin’ you think I’m makin’ the wrong choice? They shot my friend. Tell me, what would you do?”
[Truck making grumpy bastards smile:]
[Okay what if there was a side verse where Adriel is a lot older than Eilidh and when she was a little angel he was one of her guardians.]
[BIG YES to this. When I was writing about her backstory/fall, I left it vague who was involved in overseeing her, who would have been sent to reign her in, etc, because I wanted to leave space for him to have some part in that (even if it was a part she was unaware of). I love the idea that he was someone she looked up to, and that as she got closer and closer to falling and had more doubts, maybe he became a symbol of that. Of what she saw as wrong with herself and the other angels, of how her home--the place and people she loved--was tainted by arrogance and carelessness. It would also really heighten her complicated emotions about him--the fear and anger and sadness and everything else. It's not just "he's a powerful angel and I've barely got enough grace left to light a birthday candle," it's also "he's someone to whom I should owe allegiance. He helped make me who I am. He's someone I betrayed"]

Truck: Yeah, sure you can.
Ruler of the 17th Mansion and angel of Death: No, really, I can.
Truck: Okay, I believe you.
