Meet the other Clans

Meet Zinniastar of MiteClan and Shadowstar of AlderClan, the leaders of the two other Clans that LeafClan shares its home with.

Before LeafClan arrived, MiteClan and AlderClan were the only two Clans in this territory, and they have been arch rivals for as long as anyone can remember. Border disputes and petty arguments at Gatherings are fairly common. Zinniastar's mischievous and rash attitude often clashes with Shadowstar's steady and wise demeanor.

Now that LeafClan has moved in, things have been a little more peaceful, but that old rivalry is still apparent. Neither Clan has been particularly aggressive towards LeafClan, just towards each other. Halfstar finds a bit of amusement in watching these two younger hothead cats get on each others' nerves, although she does keep a watchful eye out so that none of this aggression gets turned onto her own Clan.

I'll probably be making some sort of territory map at some point. Let me know if you guys want to see more MiteClan or AlderClan cats or lore!

Okay, here they are! As of the current moon (moon 7)

This is the Daisyflake, the MiteClan healer, and Shineleap, the MiteClan deputy. Daisyflake is described as childish and as fast as the wind, and Shineleap is described as thoughtful, clever, and a fast runner. Shineleap only recently became deputy after the former deputy Darkfoot retired. Daisyflake also recently gave birth to her and Zinniastar's 2 kits, Firekit and Dropletkit. Both Daisyflake and Shineleap are good friends. Since they both enjoy running, so will challenge each other to races through MiteClan's territory. Shineleap does have a little crush on Daisyflake, but he's perfectly happy to enjoy her company running through the clearing in the woods and being her friend. She especially leans on him for support when ... later events happen hehehe. They're two of the closest cats in MiteClan, and I really enjoy their dynamic! It's very Bluefur and Thrushpelt.

Introducing: Spindlemask, the AlderClan deputy, and Wisptail and Riftbright, the AlderClan medicine cats. Spindlemask is described as adventurous, incredibly clever, and a great kitsitter. Wisptail is described as strict, a great speaker, and a good climber. Riftbright is described as playful and a good teacher. Spindlemask is beloved in AlderClan and well-respected as deputy. She is also Shadowstar's mate! Wisptail is a grumpy old man, and Riftbright is his opposite in every way. While he is strict and impatient with his patients, Riftbright brings joy and happiness to the medicine den. While he will never show it, he is rather fond of her and glad she joined him in the medicine den. Speaking of which- Riftbright was originally Spindlemask's apprentice, and she only decided to become a medicine cat AFTER receiving her warrior name, when Wisptail became ill and couldn't perform his duties for many moons. She discovered her love for helping her clanmates and decided to stay. Riftbright and Spindlemask remain close, and Spindlemask is always amused to see what sort of mischief Riftbright is causing for Wisptail.

I hope this was a good introduction to the supporting leadership of MiteClan and AlderClan!

thinking of making posts about the other clans near LeafClan teeheehee

they're bordered by two clans called MiteClan and AlderClan who were already in the current territory when LeafClan arrived (so LeafClan is a new player in the story of this area). MiteClan specifically has a particular role in LeafClan's story as it stands right now so it might be worth some introductions!

Newleaf Moon 3 Patrol

FUCK i had screenshots of what went on with Lightgaze and Parsleypaw but TUMBLR ATE THE SCREENSHOTS >:(

anyway so Parsleypaw had a dream and she and Lightgaze had a serious conversation about it.

Gingerpaw spots a rabbit up ahead but it seems to be acting strange. The patrol can see its tremors from a few fox-lengths away.

Gingerpaw avoids catching the rabbit and looks for other prey.

Grassheart: STAY AWAY FROM THAT RABBIT!!! IT'S SUS!!!!

Gingerpaw: 0_0 okay

Your patrol cautiously moves towards the sound of barking. Near the border, they spot a dog chasing something. Oh no, it's a cat!

The patrol swiftly jumps into action. They capture the dog's attention and draw it away from the cat. Mossywillow stayed hidden while the rest of the patrol lured the dog away, but when they go to find the cat, they see that it's still running! Oh well, at least they're alright.

As the patrol arrives at a beach, they spot Twolegs and their kits lounging around a brightly colored pelt of some kid, and smell food-scent.

The patrol decides to avoid the Twolegs.

Newleaf Moon 2 - Patrol

With newleaf bringing ragwort back on the medicinal menu, Lightgaze heads out to find where the silly plants have decided to sprout this year.

Try as she might, Lightgaze can't quite remember the exact shape of the ragwort leaves, and they aren't going to harvest from plants they haven't conficently identified. Better safe than sorry, as they say...

Hatchstar suggests this might be a good chance for the cats to practice new hunting techniques, particularly with Parsleypaw present.

Everyone has a nice practice session, picking up a nice selection of new tricks to try out on their next hunting patrol. Parsleypaw really gets into it, and is praised for her focus and enthusiasm.

Your patrol (Chervilleaf, Ratpaw, Gingerpaw) has a disagreement and look to Chervilleaf to settle the dispute.

Chervilleaf has no time for this spat and pulls the patrol to a halt to remind them that they have a star-damned job to do and quarreling like kittens will not be tolerated. The patrol returns to their work collecting nesting material with newfound vigor.

Grassheart spots a rabbit up ahead but it seems to be acting strange. The patrol (Grassheart, Greenshadow, & Mossywillow) can see its tremors from a few fox-lengths away.

Grassheart catches the rabbit and it is eaten as normal.
