So I don't know if you've answered this or not, but knowing that he actually rather likes Alfira and gets along with her because Bard Vibing overrides Women Scary in her case, I gotta know something.

How does Aldiirn feel about Volo? Do they vibe as bards or is he ever tempted to let Volo start Talking Too Much to, say, Lae'zel because she would only have a measured response in politely asking the gentleman to slow his roll?

This is where I'm like ackshually 🤓☝️ Volo is a wizard, and for the most part acts as a source of income for the party via Astarion filching his gold and inventory every morning afdhgsfds

But yeah, Aldiirn doesn't vibe with him much because Volo's the sort of bumbling topsider who keeps getting himself into trouble and by the shadows why hasn't he been killed yet? Aldiirn entertains Volo's babbling a bit to see if there's any real info he can gain, then politely dips out or hands him off to someone else.

Hi! I was wondering if you actually play as Aldiirn or just write comics about him, and if you do, what mods do you use? I don't know if this is a weird ask, so feel free to disregard. :-)

Aldiirn was my first tav for full release! I didn't think too much when creating him so he didn't take shape as his own character until around Act 3, which is why a lot of my earliest comics (eg new diet) are from that act.

I've since been replaying the game as Aldiirn in tandem with the comics. Which yes, is making for the slowest playthrough ever lol. I'm loosely sticking to events of the first playthrough but roleplaying Aldiirn more now that I got a grasp on him. I expected it would be harder to romance Astarion but nope, he actually pounced the morning after bite night, guess he really does love that minty marshmallow.

I pretty much play vanilla, the only mods I've used are to increase the active party limit.

i miss his fatboy swag so bad... but having becoming a literal PARTIAL ILLITHID have actual consequences makes sense. In the game, when you defeat the netherbrain, you unbecome illithid in every capacity, would this happen to our boy as well?

It's kinda funny now because like, I got really into BG3 comics when I was in act 3, so those partial illithid comics are really early ones, and it was later when revisiting act 1 I decided to make Aldiirn chubbier and put myself in a whole mess over his body weight aaaa. I love body horror and partial ceremorphosis was so primed for it but instead we just got sleep wiggles... so I took things into my own hands.

anywho YES Aldiirn becomes un-illithid postgame but it hits him hard and it takes a long time to recover. immediate postgame he's like a floppy bruised ragdoll. and what's left of his hair falls out!

buuut with a lot of PT he recovers and his hair grows back in and he's able to eat well again and gets even more of that fatboy swag back. :P

Apologies if this sounds stupid, but is Aldriin (;A; apologies if I spelt that wrong) missing like...half of his bottom eyelid? And if so, can he see out of that? Does it impede blinking?

Indeed he is! The venom that caused the scarring ate away at his eyelid and stained his sclera. Aldiirn can see in that eye now but its darkvision was too damaged to restore. He can blink fine but the eye is prone to drying out.

He's also missing a bit of earlobe but his hearing's fine!

How would Aldiirn look with a facial hair? Gale probly has a spell for beardification or something

Aldiirn's relationship with body hair as a transmasc half-drow is a little complex because on one hand, it's very gender, but on the other, it's very Not Drow. He's come to terms with it though still likes to treat himself to smooth legs when he's got downtime because that's where his aesthetic ideals are.

Facial hair would def be a step up form that, he's thankful he doesn't get any buuuuuut if Gale offered Aldiirn a Conjure Beard spell that lasts for an hour he'd go for it. And it would be long and luxurious and braided becasue I can't imagine a drow beard being any other way.

I know Aldiirn is a half-drow, BUT on the off chance that Lolth decided to turn him into a drider, and if you could pick any kind of spider to be his spidery part, what kind of spider body would Aldiirn have, do you think?

Aldiirn got a bit uncomfortably close to being driderfied, luckily he was only fed to the spiders instead! But if he had been...

I know there was some cute spider going around ages ago, I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but I'll go with the daring jumping spider. plenty cute and it's got those shiney teal chompers.
