4. What’s a fic that changed the way you write?
Definitely Money Shot by @captain-erwinmerica . There is so much detail put into the writing, so much little detail, that it paints a picture. It really inspired me to focus on the quality of my writing and really crack down on painting the picture that is in my mind. (PS, it’s a YOI fic too, so you’ll love it.) This is the reason why Illuminate looks so much different than my other two fics.
5. What’s a fic that changed the way you see a certain character?
Hmmm, I honestly don’t know. I don’t think there has been a fic that has really significantly changed the way I see a certain character. Sure, there have been a few fics that have aided in dragging me into different hells. I’m looking at you Professor Prompto. However, I don’t think there has been just one fic that has completely changed the way I look at a character.
6. fic you’d recommend to someone new in the fandom?
Oh geez. I am not the person to ask this. *begins scrolling through saved fics* I’m basically going to share some of the stuff I read when I dived into the Yuri!! on Ice and FFXV fandoms.
So for my YOI fic (which is super NSFW) I’d recommend Sixty-Nine Degrees of Heat by @paxwritesyoi. It was probably the first fic I read from the fandom and I haven’t really read much besides this and Money Shot.
For FFXV, I don’t necessarily have one specific fic, but rather a Masterlist from @nifwrites. Nif has a mix of both NSFW and SFW writing on her blog and I definitely recommend checking her stuff out!
13. past tense or present tense?
Definitely past. It is a bit of a challenge for me to write in present tense and get the flow of words I try to go for.
