welcome to the alectopaucalypse
for the 999th day of the alectopause, i (@wifegideonnav) have decided to incite tltomblr’s own version of the mishapocalypse, inspired by @bebidocrimes and @carys-the-ninth, because there is truly no better way to honor whatever this is than by making it the entire website’s problem <3
the question, however, is what icon to use. and since this is a fandom with so many creative, funny, dedicated fans:
we’re deciding via contest :D
starting monday april 21, there will be an open submission window; everyone is encouraged to design a circular tlt-themed image that can be used as an icon and submit it!
the submissions will compete in a bracket tournament hosted via tumblr polls, which will run from may 1st to june 6th.
the winning design will become the official alectopaucalypse icon!
april 21–april 30*: open submission window
may 1–june 6th: voting period
june 8: day 999 of the alectopause, and the date of the alectopaucalypse!
technical specs for submissions:
enter your design using the submit function on this blog in a jpeg or png format 20 mb or less. note: the image will be posted exactly as you submit it, so make sure that it’s the right size/shape.
i encourage participants to create their icon in nine minutes or less, as the goal is for this to be silly and lighthearted, not a competition that people are invested in. whip out ms paint and draw something with your mouse, deep fry an image of a dog, whatever seems like it’ll be funny to have as everyone’s icon. we’re aiming for memes, not the mona lisa.
additionally, remember this will be an icon, so it has to work at a small size. make it simple!
