Of course it's more mob verse. I can't resist a full leather get up and neither can Seto apparently.

Yooo it's so cool to see you attended and enjoyed CitrusCon. Was curious if you wanted to share what were your favorite bits/panels from it. 💜
It was so much fun! Highlights included:
Two panels given by Teratophiliologist: "Merging Flesh, Merging Hearts: Body Horror and Intimacy in BL" and "ANTH 169 – Intro to Omegaverse Studies: Evolution, Reproduction, and Society". Really great presentations, the first breaking down tropes I love, and the second felt like a legit university course-- which made sense given that the presenter has a Master's in Evolutionary Anthropology!
"Writing through The Horrors - How I published my first BL novel at 40" was so inspiring!! I liked Sparrow's life lessons and tenacity.
"Star Trek Fandom and the Fujo Frontier" was a great fandom history lesson. I knew some of it, but it was in depth with lots of citations/photos/zines. Hearing about the early fandom battles with both internal (antis) and external (laws) pressures really shows how history repeats itself.
Yaoi Yoga was adorable with cute drawings of poses. Much needed stretching!
"Queer Coded Tropes and Queer Coded Villains: Where Do They Come From?" Another wonderful history lesson, especially re: movies which I love.
"The Ancients were gay – subtle (or not) homoerotism in ancient mythology and history" was probably my fav panel because the chat was so funny, like at a concert when you hear the first notes of your fav songs, except it was a PowerPoint slide of Gilgamesh, Achilles or Emperor Ai of the Han dynasty, and immediate squeeing or crying gif reactions, "they're taking my rights away because I'm bottoming", "cutsleeve let's goooo". This was a virtual con but I could feel everyone's enthusiasm palpably like I was in the same room, though it was just me giggling on my couch XD
These were so good, I'm gonna come back and link these later when they are put on youtube!
I'm sad I missed Yaoi Bob Ross :( I also wish I had more time to hang out in the hangout channels-- whenever I popped into the Fandom Olds channel there were funny conversations going on! I only caught one artist livestream for a bit. Discord is a lot to handle but I'm getting better at it.
I tried to attend last year for the first time, I put it in my calendar and everything, only to realize I was a day late for registration!! ;___; I learned my lesson; I'm already signed up for next year, lol
Thanks for asking! ♥ What panels did you go to? :)
Happy birthday!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I hope you had a nice one. <3
:D Thank you so much friend!!! It’s been quite fun! Went to go see the Super Mario Galaxy movie with my bro and very much enjoyed it!! We had lunch, and now I’m chillin at home. <3 Plus I requested tomorrow off work, so my usual Sunday routine gets pushed to tomorrow and I can actually enjoy today!
Trick or treat!
treat!
What do you think are Kaiba and Jounouchi's favorite thing about the other? 💜
kaiba -> jou: tenacity, resilience, ability to overcome, natural adaptability, lack of filter (but watch out)
jou -> kaiba: tenacity, natural prowess, money (but that is mostly jealousy), love for his brother
a lot of my other bits are mostly headcanon tho (like how i hc both of them as being half jpn, and their older sibling parallels, etc etc) BUT boiled down  their ingrained principles...

OMG I'M SO SORRY! THIS GOT BURIED IN MY DRAFTS SO FAST AND I LOST IT!
Geez, these boys never get a break, do they? Not when I'm in charge! 🤭 I've definitely used this element with this ship before, but I tried to do a new take on it ("new" in that I haven't done this one before). Enjoy the late whump story!

🦤 a quote you had to delete :( (but still wanna share!)
rough draft of insomniacs, my dearly beloved. i had to scrap this whole fight but it was so much fun to write!!
“You’re practically perfect at everything! You get the girls, you get the guys, you have a perfect family, you have everything I’ve ever wanted and I could have the world on a silver platter with the snap of my fingers! You keep being this absolutely perfect person and I hate it because I can’t bring myself to hate you! I envy you and by all means, I should despise you, but I can’t because I’m stupid and ended up falling in love with you instead!”
ty for the ask!!!!
Character Ask Game for Jounouchi: 2, 5, 24, and/or 25
Thank you! I haven't gotten an ask game reply in years, so this means a lot.
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
I like how he's capable of genuine change. He was bitter, angry, and cruel, but he came to a genuine change of heart and becomes someone who is a very loyal friend. He values people who genuinely care about others.
5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?
The meme "No Matter What" song from the English CD that was released, lol. More seriously, "goldrush" by Taylor Swift was a song that I started associating with Jounouchi @ Kaiba for shipping reasons... I feel like there are others that would fit for more ambitious and cool vibes for him, but... just being honest.
24. What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?
Hmmm. This is really difficult. I guess Tokyo Vice having some characters that are from yakuza background or who are at least adjacent to someone in it is relatable? I feel like I could also meme about Chris Evans's character from the movie Push or anything where he plays up the Brooklyn but that's the dub. Jounouchi seems kinda unique, which is a good thing, I guess!
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
I think I like him a lot more than I used to? I don't know if I was ever slow to forgive him for his early state, but I guess I didn't appreciate what he was up against as much until I was older. Also, hilariously, I fund something from back when I was 18 or 19 on LJ in my email inbox saying that I disliked puppyshipping when, when I got back into YuGiOh some as an adult, it's one of the main things on my multishipping roster. My perspective on that really changed. I used to think it was genuinely terrible for Jounouchi.
