ellipsus, now with cloors!

ngl the one thing, the one thing that stopped me from using @ellipsus-writes before was the absence of pretty colors. now there's a dark pride theme (my sore eyes are so grateful) AND pretty colors! (okay the other thing was that my co-writer and i couldn't figure out that we first needed to make a draft off a main document, in order to share that. but then we did figure it out, and now we are!!)

now you can cohose yuor cloor!

AND! look at all the cool new typefaces, including my favorites, Alegreya and IM Fell (aka Folklore Font). as well as, of course, good old Garble (i have no idea what this is really called, i've always called it Garble. i want to try it but it truly makes me seasick).

(i'm also very appreciative of the fact that even when y'all go to a premium paid model, free will still include all the current features. bc i'm stupid levels of poor and wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise.)

so thank you for the themes AND the typefaces AND the colors! i'm a fan now, i might even order a sticker.

If there is a chance of misinterpretation, don’t replace letters with symbols. People might just read the letters.

So. This was meant to be a sketch page of many ocs but... I used the style I use to draw my pirate ocs for Alegreya and then got entirely distracted because I then tried to play the pirate game, failed to load it, and played the wizard game instead 😔

ANYWAYS. Alegreya!

I believe that monsters, since they're made of magic, can change their shape under extreme moments of emotion or stress. So, back when I made Alegreya years back, I decided that she was a monster who decided she wanted to protect humans from the Royal Guard, and through her conviction (and each failure) she made herself look more and more human.

Each patch on her jacket represents the souls she wasn't able to protect. The white one is meant to kinda show the loss of her personhood to her goal, but also her distrust in monster-kind, hense the rip!

Her weapon is a morning star made of blue magic, and she usually sticks to melee attacks.

Bonus! I don't have her original design art, but I took the time to hunt down her latest re-sketch I did like. 2 years ago lmao.

I did the new version from memory so I'm not surprised to find so many changes tbh- and the short hair is smth I wanted to change for sure because too many of my humanoid ocs have this like side-shave hairstyle and Alegreya had to escape finally lmao-

My other Undertale OC! I’m too burned-out at the moment to do it digitally, and yes, I know she’s leaning. I have a HORRIBLE tendency to draw with the page slanted on the table.

And yes, I haven’t arted in while. Actually, I art all the time, I just never get anything final enough to post, haha. Expect a Bendy thing coming soon (maybe...)

Anyways, this is Alegreya! (It’s a cool font hidden deep inside Google Docs) She’s pretty much to polar opposite of Impact in terms of personality. Quiet, but sweet.

A change of fonts

I keep fiddling with details of the modified Ashley theme being used by this blog now that I'm back in here a bit. I've just decoupled the body font from the default meta tag-defined method and theme-default Google Font Gentium Book (a very nice font), and I've set things in the (on-page) stylesheet to the Alegreya family Google Fonts. Basically same as on my personal homepage, I'm using Alegreya for body text and Alegreya Sans for headings (except for h1, so: h2 through h6).

I've also gone ahead and added verbiage to the page footers filling out basic about information and adding a copyright line.
