Speaking of Aleis and Lua...

I finally got around to finishing New Testament 19 and the confrontation between Touma, Accelerator, and Hamazura on whether or not to kill Aleistor is probably one my favorite moments in the entire volume.

Just...Hamazura pulling a reverse uno card and demanding leverage for the protection of his loved ones in exchange for helping Aleister is why I love him as a character.

Happy birthday to Khleo from Aleis, who knocks on her door with a keg of Scotch barrel-aged stout on their shoulder, and Turel, who offers a ceramic tankard beautifully decorated with playful lionesses on the outside. It is cool to the touch and seems to exude calm. (fullyfunctionalapprentice)

Khleo smiles broadly before accepting the keg with a small grunt.

"You believe in the best of both worlds, don't you, Aleis?"

Then Khleo's eyes flicker to the tankard that Turel is holding and she nearly drops the keg. Her eyes shine with fondness as she takes in the whimsical shapes of the dancing lionesses.

"Would you two," Khleo clears her throat, "like to come inside and help me find a good place for both of these? Maybe we can share a drink or two after?"
