Hey! I’d love to request a Kakashi x fem!reader fanfic based on a soulmate thing.

In this naruto world, Kakashi belongs to a rare clan where hatake members can hear the thoughts of their soulmate—but only their soulmate. The twist? The reader (who can be either a civilian or a ninja) doesn’t know they’re soulmates, but Kakashi figures it out the moment he starts hearing her thoughts loud and clear.

It starts off cute and funny thing—she is getting frustrated at her job and blabbering mentally, she is thinking mundane things making lists, insecurities

Later kakashi tries to get close to her by sending anko asuma or kurenai or gai to befriend her and somehow het her in the same group... then he starts going out with friends a lot to know her better... and every time ge is more amused by her. She is usually quiet on the surface..maybe an introvert but has the loudest mind... She thinks all sorts of comebacks, jabs and sarcasm but keeps it to her mind... kakashi hears it all !!!

Slowly she’s admiring him from afar, crushing , having random little moments of wanting him.

As the story unfolds, her thoughts evolve from admiration to attraction, to full-blown desire (yes, I mean those lewd thoughts).

But she doesn't admit it... Meanwhile, Kakashi, being the patient king he is, takes his sweet time to build a genuine bond with her, all while silently enjoying her thoughts . He confirms her feelings in a game of truth and dare where he asks very direct questions to which she answers mentally first and covers it up out loud....

Kakashi relishes in every spicy, emotional, and heartfelt thought she has about him.

Later he begins to court her and openly flirt and then finally date her... Smutty happy ending...

The kids in front of Kakashi kept weaving around the crowd, excited to get to Ichiraku. Kakashi almost forgot about the farmer’s market big sale. They had brought merchants from various lands, giving the villagers an opportunity to buy rare foods and items.

Kakashi’s eyebrows furrowed, his eyes flickering off the book to see who was talking so loudly. Their voice basically sounded like as if they were next to his ear. 

There were many voices floating around them, but this one seemed particularly loud, and a small echo followed it.

Kakashi turned to the peaches stand, a whole bunch of people surrounding it as it was a rare fruit out of season. He didn’t see anybody making any wild movements and the voices he tried to match with moving lips didn’t sound like the earlier one. 

“Kakashi-sensei! Come on, slow poke!” 

Kakashi’s head twisted forward again, Naruto waving an arm in the air with the two others behind him walking away. He sighed, rubbing the exposed part of his forehead before trucking forward again. 

Maybe they’ll have chocolates from Yugakure! 

That’s oddly specific, Kakashi thought, but he ignored the booming voice as he caught up with his students. 

Those people can deal with the loudmouth themselves. 

Kakashi melted into the crowd, unbeknownst he missed the opportunity to see that the person he heard never moved their lips at all.

Y/n and Sasuke were sent on a mission with one task in mind.. retrieve the scrolls that some shinobi from the village hide in the mist had stolen. And well, Sasuke never had fondness of anyone really, but if their was anyone Sasuke had to choose, it would be y/n. You see, ever since you guys were genins, you somehow managed to get the same score on him on almost everything. From running, cloning jutsu, and transforming jutsu to durability, speed, and kunai throwing, you did almost the same, if not better. Skip a few years, and both of you are 17 on an A-ranked mission, jumping from tree to tree.

"Oi, y/n on your left." Sasuke says with his usual nonchalant voice as you duck, a branch almost smaked you square in the nose.

"Awww, you do care," you sing, a stupid giddy grin on your face as he side glares you.

"I don't, just don't want to end up with you passed out," he grumbles, annoyed at the way you sing. It does random shit to his stomach, making it all flutery.

"Pft, yeah, right, I bet you're blushing right now~" You glance over at him, and their it is. That thin pressed pink dusting his stupid pale cheeks all the way to under his eyes and just barely reacting his nose.

"Whatever, I don't have time for this."

I mean, it's nothing new. You and Sasuke always end up having these back and forth conversations. And from time to time, he would bless you with his reaction like right now. Oh, how cute he looks while blushing no wonder girls fan over him. God, if only he liked you back or at least knew about your feelings, knowing Sasuke he probably doesn't even know what feelings are.

You don't blame him tho, you have enough feelings for the both of you anyway, like literally you cried when a fawn was just too small. And laughed like a child when you stole Naruto's dango. "Hn. You seem to have trouble with following directions, " he grumbled annoyed, why must she challenge me? Why play stupid games like this, I don't have time for such useless things.

And bam, now sasuke had your hands pinned above your head, you were backed to a tree, the bark digging into the back of your hands and your vest. Why does he look so hot, damn he really needs to let his hair down, I mean, it would look so much better. Does he even know how hot he looks? What do you think when he looks in the mirror when he wakes up in the morning. Goddd his bed hair must be to die for. I NEED to add that to my photos of him. It's okay if we weren't on the same team. Maybe you did match him at almost everything, kunai throwing? It was a one point breaker. Flexibility? You did so much better. Turns out trauma makes you a bit too stiff to win. Traps and Disguises were the same score, where you and sasuke had used transformation jutsu and tricked the other teams by setting traps.

I have this AU where Kakashi is a teen dad (it could be some Danzó bullshit or just a horny feral wolf child behavior before condoms were invented)

And it ends up with Kakashi having a baby a few months before Naruto's born. So Kushina, belly getting bigger by the minute, teaches Kakashi to take care of his newborn, they deal with nappies, colics, maybe she even breastfeed them.

This is so even better if you think about how he was Kushina's bodyguard during the pregnancy, so now instead of lurking in a tree, he stays in the apartment with her all the time giving place to a lot of sweet quality time and bonding. And so by the time Kushina's due date is near she practically adopted that baby. She only asks that he stays around and doesn't disappear in ANBU like he was planning, just check in with them often, be an older brother figure to the babes, that's all she wants.

He of course agrees, he's not even 15 yet and there's no one he would trust to take care of that baby more than Minato and Kushina. They will be raised as the twin children of the Hokage that's the best gift he could give his baby a clean state from the Hatake family dishonor.

But then Kushina dies, and Minato dies. And he was named next of kin on Kushina's will...

what are your top 3 or 5 favorite naruto x sasuke fanfics? i'd love to get some recommendations!! i've been looking for something new to read but i feel like i always end up re-reading kizuna hikari lol

Rereading Kizuna Hikari is actually the realest thing I've ever heard. Matter of fact, I'm rereading it right now. For the twentieth time. So I totally get it.

Now, I'll be honest that in terms of characterization, no fics do it like the kizunaverse. None. At the very least, I haven't read a single one with such a staggeringly good grasp on every single character, it's insane.

I'd accuse @sasubaeuchithot of secretly being Kishimoto, but I fear that even he wouldn't be as consistently flawless in sasuke and naruto's portrayal, considering how botched the ending and sequel were. (top kh glazer check)

But enough. Let's see.

Every single fic by @kinomiakai is a certified banger. I find their characterization magnificent as well, their modern AUs are unparalleleddddd.

The way they write Sasuke and Naruto is totally believable, even though they obviously aren't 100% in character, which is normal; characters will always be different in AUs, they have lived considerably different lives.

Their only fic that I haven't read is a current WIP, "Two is a Crowd", which is canon-divergent.

Personally waiting for it to be completed, because I've started wayyy too many WIPs and my heart won't take another one.

"Heaven is a place on earth with you" by zephyrous (amorphia) was a lovely two-shot from Sakura's POV, watching sns through the years. I'm personally a sucker for such fics and I remember this one hit the spot.

Check out "i like his eyes", "i hope the encore lasts forever" and "here's to us (here's to love)" by moviekidd826, they were beyond lovely!

"The sun is too bright, it hurts." by waywardfacegarden, can't recommend it enough, I was obsessed when I first read it. I'm a sucker for fics like that.

Lastly, "Lost and Found" by MadeNew is a fic I had read in one sitting. Check out some of their other fics as well, they have quite a few!

I haven't read sns in quite some time, even though they occupy at least 20% of my brain, so I'm probably not the best person to ask for recommendations.

These are only a few of the fics I've bookmarked, but it's been so long since I've read most of them! I remember loving these fics endlessly, which I can't so safely say for my other sns bookmarks.

A lot of rereads are due, I suppose!
