So I watched first five episodes of bone and shadow and Goddamn I need Jesus xD
You stared at the white snow and white trees, honestly you didn’t know how quickly you ran. When you sensed him it was all over. The stories were true and suddenly nothing else mattered but getting away from there. After seeking information on what happened in the fold, you stayed quiet, you knew what had happened, watched Alina and thanked the saints. You couldn’t handle that kind of power, you didn’t know how to handle it.
When you were younger the Grisha had come to your parents house. They tested everyone around the village and now it was your turn. Your inner power however turned them to dust as did your parents. You screamed and wailed when they forced you into the chair, the light emitted from you and they turned to dust. Your parents were too close, sobbing as they begged the Grisha to stop. Your house had collapsed and the fields around you fell flat. A little child sitting all alone, dust around them, cheeks stained with tears and their eyes puffy.
You had managed to escape every destiny set in stone. You joined the army in secrecy, became a map drawer. You didn’t pay attention to anything else but your maps before a low hum filled your ears that day. After the incident you felt relief flood through you till the darkling came. You saw his carriage before the low hum and goosebumps along your body. You had frozen up in fear of the unknown, you grabbed a bag and ran to a horse. People shouted ran after you but you created a beam of light without thought and blinded them away.
It was cold, the coat you wore not thick enough for these conditions. You knew they’d come after you, force you into showing yourself and then going to the little palace to be ‘safe’ surrounded by those people. You could hear horses, there was no where to go, what was the point? Your horse was exhausted, you rested the poor beast but he had run for miles. You petted his neck, he felt your emotions, nickered softly and pressed his head against your sides as you saw figures.
“I’m sorry for pushing you this far” you whispered staring into it’s dark eyes.
“You’ll go back to the stable, good feed and a long rest” you whispered as the figures got closer and hoof steps could be heard.
“Hopefully you aren’t as scared as I am” you added and he neighed lightly.
“Good, good boy” you pet his neck before you saw their faces. The darkling had followed you into the forest. He spotted you, the same low hum and goosebumps covering your skin. He lifted a hand and the men stopped. You stared at him as he dismounted and came closer. You stood on guard, not sure what you would do, but you gripped the dagger in your belt.
“Why’d you run?” He spoke and you breathed heavily.
“Why’d you follow?” You answered with a question and a small smirk appeared on his lips. He got close enough and you attacked. He was quicker though, quicker and smarter than you and had you pinned against the cold snow in two seconds. You groaned dagger clattering and head pounding from the rush.
“I’m not you’re enemy” he gritted out and you tried to calm your breathing. Of course he was an alpha, of course he had to be connected to you.
“Get off me” you struggled against his hold he held power, he wasn’t holding that tightly, but he kept you still.
“It’s alright” he glanced back his men with their weapons drawn.
“Shes frightened is all” he looked back to you and you glared.
“I said-“ your hand began to glow and he covered it with his own.
“Control yourself” he muttered as you stared at him. The men behind had gasped and stared, two sun summoners in one spot was a miracle x thousand.
“Get off me!” You said and he did. He stood holding his hands up and you breathed heavily. You were in a state of panic, you stayed on the cold snow floor and stared at the grey sky.
“I’m not going anywhere with you” you said as he offered his hand. He sighed jaw tensed.
“You’ve taken this long to find me, you found me, you’re not getting me though” it was selfish perhaps, but he had Alina now, Alina could fix the world not you, you ruined things ruined your world long ago.
“What’s your name?” He asked but you didn’t answer.
“Sun summoner? Soldier? Omega?” He listed and you glared.
“You don’t get to know my name” you snapped standing up.
“Neither does the world” you added when a man spoke up.
“Her names Y/n Y/l/n sir!” You glared at whoever yelled and he flinched.
“Seems I do get to know your name” The Darkling smirked slightly.
“Miss Y/l/n” he said and you stared at the ground. His boots came into view and you looked up.
“You can’t avoid destiny, nor can you avoid your power” he said softly.
“I can and I have” you spat and he sighed.
“Stubborn thing” he muttered.
“I am not a thing, turn back leave me to die in the woods thank you” you grabbed your dagger slid it into your belt and went to your horse.
“You’ve got Alina! You don’t need me I’ll die and angry hag before I go with you!” You glared as he stood in front of you.
“You’re not safe out here omega” he gritted our eyes stern and jaw tense.
“I’m never safe anywhere” you said. You two had spoken softly, the others looking with confusion at your angered looks.
“I’ve killed my family, Grisha, before I was even 10 I’ve been running since then, I’ve hidden, ran all my life, I ruined my home, shattered it, I turned my parents to dust and whatever Grisha were there. I am a monster” you gritted out tears in your eyes.
“I’m not going around anyone again, the only reason I joined the army was to die quickly” you snapped emotions rolling in after another.
“You’re not the only one whose done bad things” he muttered staring at you. His gaze was intense, brown eyes staring at yours.
“Go back to the camp, we’ll meet you there” he yelled to his men and you frowned.
“But sir-“ one said.
“Now!” He snapped and they all left quickly.
“Listen to me Y/n, you stay out here you’ll die horribly, you stay in the army you die horribly, you are a sun summoner, Alina she’s not” you frowned at his words.
“She-“ you stuttered.
“There’s nothing in her” he whispered and you frowned.
“You forced your power on her so it looked like she did it” you frowned at his words, how is that even possible?
“That’s impossible” you muttered.
“Apparently not” he sighed.
“Come with me to the little palace, you will train, you will learn by my command, we can change the world” you stared at him, his words almost rehearsed if it wasn’t for the look in his eyes.
“Ill just hurt and destroy more things” you muttered backing away from him.
“You don’t know who I am Darkling” you added.
“No I don’t” you didn’t expect those words from him.
“But I know what you can become” you rolled your eyes.
“That’s all you people think about, what somebody will become what destiny is there’s, I can’t save the world! I don’t know how to! I didn’t save mine!” You had tears in your eyes. Letting your emotions out to a stranger, a stranger whose always been connected to you.
“We may be connected but you know nothing” you hissed light emitting from you again. He stared at it, stared at your hands the light shining around them.
“Y/n” he said walking closer again. His hands were warmer than yours, larger too, covered yours and your light lit up in a bubble around you both. You stared at it the swirls of light in the air.
“What-“ you stuttered how could he amplify it?
“Then let me know you” he said softly and you stared at him.
He let go slowly and your light died down, you took in a shuddering breath and nodded. He sighed whistling for his horse as you went to yours.
You followed him back to the camp, people whispered and looked at you, you spotted Alina, gave her an apologetic look before you turned to the darklings tent.
“You’ll be safe at the little palace” he said dismounting and helping you off your horse. You didn’t speak, just went to the carriage and awaited your change.
