TSG NOLA Scene: Alex Beard on Magazine Street
We had such a fun night celebrating Alex Beard’s new gallery on Magazine Street. There are so many reasons why I love this artist, but in the interest of blog brevity, I will name just a few here (and let the photos do the talking).
He's universal. His vibrant global wildlife compositions cater to children and adults alike.
He does good. Alex is also a big philanthropist. With his very own Watering Hole Foundation, he has dedicated time and resources to saving endangered wildlife and preserving the earth’s remaining wilderness.
His art is not just for looking at. He has turned his art into puzzles, coffee table books, bedtime stories and more.
He tells stories and begs questions. His art tells the story of cultures, colors, and climates of far-off places like Africa, India, China, the Americas, and Australia. He is eager to share these stories at his gallery, as you can see by the sign that greets you on arrival. It reads: “Be Inquisitive, Ask Questions.”

Guests enjoyed the Cane Caldo by neighboring restaurant Cavan. Look closely for the main ingredients to craft at home, but visit the ever popular restaurant bar to discover the secret ingredient to making it ever so popular.
Cavan’s Owner Robert LeBlanc, Taylor Morgan, Editor of The Scout Guide New Orleans and Artist Alex Beard.
It was a fun night shining the spotlight on the men of TSG! If you missed the event, make sure to stop by the new space located at 3926 Magazine Street, and of course....
