Season 3 Planning

In case anyone was curious how our planning meetings have been going for season 3 of the Magnus Protocol, @jonnywaistcoat and @rqbossman are professionals who never get side tracked.

One thing that's underlooked but incredibly frustrating about the assimilation of food products industry-wide is allergens

I have a metric fuckton of allergies, including peas and non-fermented soy. Even two or three years ago these particular allergies were not a huge issue because the things they typically were in were pretty easy to identify and avoid. But now every fucking product includes either soy or pea protein or soy flour because of a combination of cost and/or the American obsession with protein. Most chicken nuggets nowadays have pea or isolated soy protein in them, and a good chunk also have soy flour in the coating. Basically every chain bakery item (little debbie, hostess, etc...) has soy flour and/or protein in every one of their items now. Fucking HAMBURGER PATTIES at big box stores have soy protein in them now!!!

I had a craving for donuts the last couple days. I haven't bought a donut in a couple years now, the only ones I've had have been donuts in the break room at work that were from a local bakery. Anyway, I went to Cub, lunds and byerlys, AND Trader Joe's (I already know the Target ones are a no go) and not a single fucking donut in any of those stores, in house or big brand, doesn't use soy flour to some capacity. I checked. Every ingredient list. It took a long time.

I went to the aforementioned bakery this morning bc I live a couple blocks from it, and I'm glad I asked there too because their cake donuts use soy flour! The local bakery!!! They do have brioche donuts that don't use soy, and so I finally got my donuts (I tipped the gal there like 90% on the whole order bc she went above and beyond tracking down recipe lists and talking to the bakers in the back, if ur in mpls definitely shop at Bogarts donuts they're lovely people)

My favorite bread shop growing up changed most of their recipes a couple years ago for the same reason and I can't even shop there anymore. Anyway, all this to say if you have allergies it's another thing that assimilation under capitalism just makes harder. It fuckin sucks, and because small businesses also have to cater to industry standards it's trickling down to the bottom line too. It's insidious, dangerous, more expensive due to having limited options and leading to go the organic/no additives route, and continues to wall people out of food at an ever expanding pace.

I just wanted a fucking donut. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I know I’ve never posted about tadc but imma go on a stupid rant -

I have been a d1 Jax hater since October 2023 like you will never get me to like that godamn rabbit. And one thing I hate is when I see a video hating on him or pointing out he’s getting way to much attention someone in the comments goes

“Oh b-but, he’s the main character what did you expect!” No the fuck hes not.

Sure in the more recent eps he’s being more focused on but unless I have to go back and rewatch for the first 1-5 episodes the show made him seem like the rest of the cast. If anything Ragatha got slightly more attention than him in 1-3

I know Gooseworx and her team has had all the episodes planned out from the begging but surely if he was always going to be a main character alongside Pomni then surely they would have made it more obvious in earlier episodes?

Like giving him an episode to focus on his character? Completely fine. But multiple eps even thought you’ve got a perfectly good set of other characters to expand on more in their own episodes right there.

This is like the most non issue ever and idk what point I’m trying to make, but it’s almost 2am ish and I saw someone say something similar and I like ranting.

Martha Charlotte

by her first name, you can probably guess why martha. for charlotte, i think it's classy and pretty

my fav fact about her: that she looks a lot like damian and talia but has jon and lois' smile

she has blue kryptonian eyes

she has kryptonian abilities and handles it better than her siblings

"macha" (teasing nickname from the middle child that stuck)

being the first born of damian, talia visited and stayed longer with them, often enough that martha learns and is fluent in arabic and farsi (and had a very long phase in childhood up until young adolescent that she will exclusively only talk in those languages)

martha absolutely loves the fact that she is of arab descent

so much so that she grows up to be as an arab historian

ofc she has a PhD, she's an overachiever like her baba

is in love with history overall

has a love/hate relationship with ra's bc he can tell her accurate history stories but y'know, he's a cult leader (but her anger just grew when she learned how her baba was raised under the league of assassins)

i see her a mixture of talia and lois, honestly, which i think would have damian and jon dote on her

she definitely has the best sense of fashion between her and her siblings

is very much into high fashion from mugler to vivien westwood to sandy liang and simone rocha (i actually dont know much about fashion, forgive me)

next up!

Thuraiya -> Aisan

was a girl, now is boy!

inherited the batbrows

also has blue eyes, but is a bit lighter compared to his sister's

works in sales BUT wants to be a superhero

though is not a confident in his abilities

is a good fighter!! but just not very confident

personally trained by various batfam members, but bonded with steph more than anyone of his aunts and uncles

and by kon-el for his kryptonian abilities

whole family on both sides encourages him with love

doesn't really like the fact that he got jon's curls

would love love love to have straight hair like his grandmother talia or his nana, lois

he hates tea, and loves coffee! (drives dami a little bit insane)

he also has a girlfriend!!! (no design yet)

i also want to share that when he was picking out a name, he went to jon and damian if they had any ideas

Aisan was the name that jon, damian, and aisan himself all picked out together

macha and aisan has a two-year age gap

meaning that they had tons of fights when they were younger

but bonded when aisan was bullied in school when they were in middle school and martha essentially resorted to throwing hands to his bullies

fashion sense: librarian

bc aisan seems mature, people think he's calm but forget that he's a wayne

cue macha and aisan shenanigans for getting back at people who do them wrong

the baby!

Lili/Lily

the baby of the family with a large age gap from her older siblings!

i would like to think that it was when macha was 17 and aisan was 15 when jon and damian said they have a third child coming!

has the kent signature dimples! (like her big sis macha, but more prominent on lili's)

is spoiled! by her grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, and siblings!

her best friends are alfred the cat jr (jon's gift to dami when alfred the cat died) and goliath

macha and aisan teach her how to use her cutest face to get what she wants from her baba and dada

is a late bloomer with her kryptonian abilities but she doesn't really mind

when she's a little bit older, she learns that she's way better at learning hand-to-hand combat

has a very strong personality, almost like damian's

never knew thuraiya, it was always aisan for her

loves to read, and whenever she gets the chance, she would read her storybooks to alfred the cat jr and goliath

is the loudest baby jon and damian has

no one can argue with her because she has a comeback every single time

favorite cartoon of all time: bluey!

her favorite artist: jimi hendrix

how does a 60's guitarist became her favorite artist? when she was a baby, she would cry a lot and one day when kon-el was was around, he was playing one of jimi hendrix's song and she stopped crying to listen, eventually falling asleep

this all i have for now! i'm hoping that i can actually draw them properly soon but i'm not very positive about it bc i can't move my hand properly

I've been so nice about my disorder for so long the next time someone tells me I don't understand my own disorder that I've put more time into learning about and understanding than most people with a psychiatric license is getting shot.

I remember telling the TSBS mods back when I was in the fandom, but wasn't a mod myself, that having ASPD would make Eclipse/Ruin/Dark Sun aromantic and being told "your disorder doesn't affect your romantic attraction"

. . . sir. I think of ALL the people who would know that I would be the person who would know that.

Anyways I'm so glad that since then the psychiatric community has finally published articles that back up that fact so I'm not just trying to desperately convince people that I know what I'm talking about since "I'm too young to know anything" and I don't have a fucking PhD.

Lowkey I was only 18 when I started psychology posting in TSAMS, and while there were a couple things I got wrong initially since I was still in the process of learning about neurology and whatnot, and trying to apply it to a disorder I was also still learning about, I really just haven't gotten that many things wrong and it's so gratifying to have solid fucking proof that I was right

I was right and they sucked and you should listen to people when they tell you about a disorder that they have and you don't. It's not your fucking place to tell someone that's "not how your disorder works" if you don't??? Have the fucking??? Diagnosis???

I can't help but think about Logan and his career and I really do hope and pray he is not done racing cause Logan has so much potential and talent, he has so much drive that it makes it impossible to think he would just quit...after all this effort, after all the trouble he had gone through? I refuse to believe he would just give up. He said it before that he wasn't someone that gives up easily. I hope and pray that Logan comes back in F1 with Cadillac. Even just one more season. Because if i were Logan, just one more season would give me clarity...
