Alexakimou turned 8 weeks old last Sunday 😳 my little monkey is getting so big! While I’m very excited to continue to watch him grow and learn, I do kinda wish I could slow down the minutes just to be sure to take in every precious moment, they seem to happen so fast. Being a mama eh! Given he’s now 8 weeks, it’s that time for immunisation. He had his BCG last week which surprisingly went okay, but I was really anxious about the whole thing this time around because let’s face it, 3 injections is going to be super distressing for him and who wants their child poked with needles? I know I hated it as a kid, I remember hiding under the table at the GP’s! Alex was not a happy bubba when having his injections and although he seemed to settle for a few hours afterwards, he became visibly irritable as the evening came around. Fever and all he was super aggy and his cry was absolutely heartbreaking! We gave him loaaads of cuddles and kisses and I’m happy to say we got through the night (with a little calpol) and he’s back to being a super smiley munchkin today, woohoo!
