OKAY HELLSING REQUEST RIGHT IN: I have a BIG crush on Andersen so maybe a "he realizes he is in love with you" (and maybe if you want first kiss 🥺👉👈) kind of headcanons with a nurse that works in the orphanage he loves so much? ~🦜

I was never a fan of Andersen, but I can admire his conviction, to some degree, so I really hope I can pull this off for you <3

Padre Andersen is a man moved by the power of God who loves innocence and purity and gets rid of anything dark and other-wordly, hence bye bye vampys.

I think the way he’d meet his S/O would be random, but also cute, like he sees them around in a cute summer dress, her hair flowing gracefully in the wind, maybe sniffing some flowers, then helping a granny pass the street, or volunteering at an animal shelter, or things like that.

But then he finds himself at the orphanage again, and sees that same woman he often saw around in a nurse attire, tending to the sick children.

O.H.

So perhaps it was fate, wasn't it?

God, what are you planning?

From then on, he realised that this woman is worth protecting - Or at least, her golden heart is - And will keep an eyes on her to make sure she is never harmed.

He will reveal himself casually to make small talk and thank her for giving out her kindness to those in need, and it was only after he received such a beautiful, dazzling smile from you, that he realised that things were not right.

His heart was beating a bit faster than normal - And it wasn’t in a bad way, as it happens before battles - No, it was a weirdly nice feeling, and he was almost tempted to hang around her for just a little bit more.

But God would surely punish him for falling into temptation, wouldn’t He?

So he kept a reasonable distance, almost denying himself, in the name of God and his Sacred Vows that he shall take no wife, it went against the code, didn’t it?

But that all changed when the war took over England and you were left fending for yourself, in an ocean of nazis, crusaders, ghouls, vampires and many more, none the better.

It angered Alexander seeing you crying, so scared for your life, so much that he gave up his own quest of defeating Alucard, and made Yumie and Heinkel take care of things while he started killing his way to S/O, saving her and taking her to a safe place he was sure nobody would reach.

The way she clinged to his side, the way she cried to desperately into his chest, afraid, confused, worried...He knew he had to protect her with his own life at risk, no matter what.

Why?

Because not even God could take away this love he felt for this woman.

Do you ever think how much Maxwell means for Andersen that he even was talking to him right in front of his death, despite Heinkel Heinkel and Yumie were standing right in front of him all the time who been absolutely exhaustes and desperates of what is going on around?

-" I'm hearing the voices of children's.. They're sounding so carefree. Maxwell.. Don't cry and don't forget to pray before you go to sleep."
