Can you explain a bit about the ARG, like what's going on with it? What do you do? When and where it starts?
I am inexperienced in these things XD
Well, usually explaining what to do in an ARG takes the magic out of it a bit… and maybe we shouldn't have even mentioned there was an ARG XD
Usually, when it comes to these things, people stumble upon a "mysterious" page online and try to figure out what's behind it. (Luckily, not many people visit our blog, so there's still a chance that some random player might find themselves on the blog thanks to the weird clues we've left on social media, or even in person, thanks to some special stickers!).
But now the beans have been spilled, and it's time for… some hints? Some explanations? At least to you, anon, who explicitly requested it!
(Damn, we would have liked to take better care of the blog, but we've been so busy we haven't been able to update it as much as we'd have liked… but maybe it's better this way, since no one was playing anyway, so it's better to take it easy, hehe).
So, when there's an ARG, there's some mystery to solve, some plot to understand.
ARG stands for "alternate reality game," a type of game that employs transmedia storytelling to deliver a story that may be altered by players' ideas or actions. The form is defined by player involvement with a story that takes place in real time and evolves according to players' responses.
In the case of the blog, for example, people's comments on Nana's blog entries could receive replies! And those replies could contain extra clues! But that's certainly not the only way to interact with the game… for example, hidden within the blog are secret images and even… documents, secrets!
Some pages are easy to find, but the content is protected by a… password! And the password is also on the site, but finding it isn't easy (or maybe it is… hmm… you have to think a little laterally for these things). In short, there are things to discover on the site! Secret information!
And at the end of it all, the story will lead to a reveal of an event that will take place… in the real world!
(A bit like those cool interactive marketing campaigns… except we're a little worried that, in this case, no one will pay attention to it. And oh well, we know it's our fault XD)
