Angel ( Part One) - Trent Alexander-Arnold
You smiled at the boy on the corner of the crowded livong room as you make your way toward your friend, a giant smile appearing on her face as soon as she notices you.
"You made it!" She smiles widely, pulling you into a bone crushing hug that you gladly returned.
"I promised I would try." You told her, "And I did." You added, once you two pulled away.
"Hello there, Angel." You heard a voice behind, which made your smile grew wider.
"Marcus!" You said excitedly, jumping into your best friends arms.
Marcus has been your best friends ever since you were fourteen, have been neighbours since forever but only started getting along when you two grew a little bit older, in fact you hated him as a kid because he always made fun of you whenever you wore your piggy tails.
Luciana on the other hand, you two met through Marcus, but you two were going ro the same university in Manchester which made you two grew much more closer, sometimes you even gamged up on Marcus whenever you felt like messing with him.
"Glad you could make it." He repeated his girlfriend's words as he pulled away from you, putting an arm around your shoulder and the other around his girl.
"Here comes my favourite girl!" Another voice spoke, approaching the three of you.
"Hello birthday boy." You smiled, kissing his cheek. "Happy Birthday, Jesse."
"Thank you, Angel." He replied, wrapping his arms around you.
"Do y'all have to call me Angel?" You said, rolling your eyes playfully.
Angel wasn't you real name, it was a nickname they chose for you a few years ago. According to them, you were too sweet and innocent for them "the sweetest person they ever met" they said.
"It's been years babe, you should be used to it by now." Jesse smirked, his arm sneaked around your waist.
"I am, don't worry." You smiled.
You have to admit that you liked that nickname, all your friends now call you Angel, even some members of your family do.
Jesse's arm tightened around your waist when he noticed some boy looking at you a few feet away from you.
"Jess." You said in a warning tone.
Jesse always felt like he had to protect you from other boys, you didn't have an older brother so he felt like he had to step up and pkay that role for you. You loved him for that for sure, but sometimes he would get a bit too carried away.
"Our Angel deserves the best, and he ain't no best." The birthday boy shrugged.
"First of all, that sentence made no sense." You narrowed your eyes, gently removing his arm from your waist. "Second of all, that's your friend too and third of all when are you getting yourself a girl?"
"Are you already tired of me Angel?" He raised an eyebrow, but smirked amyways.
"When am I ever not?"
"Okay, that's rude!" He whined, like a five years old.
"Enough, you two." Marcus said, putting an arm between the two of us. "Get away from her, she's my best friend." He added, pulling you to his side.
"And I am your too, Beans." He looked up at Marcus faking a pout. "We can share her."
"She's not an object to share." Luciana rolled her eyes, pulling you away from the two. "Idiots." She mumbled, as the two continued their childish argument.
"We love a supportive girlfriend." You joked, sending her a wink.
"I know you do." She chuckled lightly,"wanna dance?"
"Let me just grab a drink, Yeah? I need to get rid of all this stress." You told her, Poiting at the small mini bar a few feet away and she just nodded, telling you that she'll be waiting for you.
You walked through the crowd, making sure not to step on anyone and that no one would step on your toes.
You were wearing a simple outfit, not too glittery or anything. Just a small white crop top with straps and a fluffy black skirt stopping a few inches above your knees and your favourite black ankle straps stilletos.
You catch a few guys checking you out on tour way to the bar but you just ignored it, it was no secret that you did attire a lot of male attention but you weren't looking for anyone at the moment.
You had a hard timw moving on from your last break up, which was over five months ago, but you just wanted to focus on uni at the moment and maybe once you're ready you'll start seeing new people again.
"Hey, Angel." Jamel, Jesse's other best friend greeted you with a giant smile that you immediately returned.
"Hey, Jam." You greeted, "Fancy seeing you here." You said, your voice laced with sarcasm.
"Haha very funny. " He said, rolling hia eyea but a small smile appearing on his face anyway. "Vodka?"
"Nope, I'll just take a beer for now." You said, extending your hand waiting for him to give you your bottle.
You two chatted for a few more minuted until you saw your blonde friend walking toward you with a frown, a hand on her hip.
"I thought you said you're going to dance with me?" She said, sounding like a five years old.
"Sorry, blame it all on him." You shrugged, nodding toward Jamel who was sitting next to you against the bar.
"Well sorry Jam, but I am stealing her for now." She smiled at the boy and grabbed your hand, yanking you toward the dance floor.
"You know that he has a thing for you ,right?" She asked, raising up an eyebrow.
"Jamal?" You frowned, "Of course not, we're just friends."
"He thinks he has a chance with you, babe." The blonde giggled, "I think the only thing stopping him is Jesse."
"I don't see him like that anyway." You grimaced, Jamal was one of Jesse's best friends and you never ever looked at him like that. And you're definetly not looking at him any other way, any time soon.
"Let's just dance, yeah." You told your friend, rushing into the dance floor.
The two of you danced along to the beat of the music, smiling and laughing out loud as you two sang your heart out the lyrics.
A few minutes later you were both joined by Marcus and Jesse, the taller boy stealing his girlfriend away from you while the shorter one danced with you, his hands on your hips.
"Looking good tonight, babe." He smiled, eying you up and down.
And fir the first time ever since you've known him, you felt uncomfortable at the way his was looking at you.
"You're drunk, aren't you?" You chuckled.
"Had a few drinks but I am not there yet." He shook his head, he pulled away from you. He must've felt that you was kinda uncomfortable, but you two continued to dance together anyway.
Half an hour later, you felt like your legs couldn't hold you anymore while the boy next to you was now eying some brunette behind you and you rolled your eyes telling him to go and make a move.
You walked again through the more crowded area now, trying to make it into the bar and grab a drink and maybe found some place to sit.
You were so tired that you didn't see that person coming and you felt your head crash into a hard chest.
You pushed yourself back, shaking your head trying to regain your balance but the person was quick to hold you before you collide into the ground.
"Careful, Love." A thick scouse accent said.
You look up at the person and you felt like the world has stopped moving around you.
You scanned every little detail about him, his curly brown hair, the straight slope of his nose, his perfectly traced jawline showing off his perfectly structured cheekbones.
It took you only a few minutes to recognise the boy, never met him in person before but there was no way you never heard of him.
Trent Alexander-Arnold.
You felt your cheeks heat up when you noticed the smirk on his lips, your face was now crimson red, embarrassed by the fact that you were totally checking him out but you couldn't help but feel mesmerized by his beauty.
"It's okay love, I've been looking at you the same way all night." He whispered into your ear, your heart racing in the process. "I think it's only fair that you look at me the same way."
New mini story haha, hope you'll like it! Posting part two tomorrow as always. Love ya xoxo
