honestly, i think it’s better than the first one. in the beginning i was wary (what with already having the future recordings) but the previously unreleased radiophonic experiments are some of the most interesting work that adi newton has ever done.

You might say you're in the "wake" of whatever it is, but that's usually reserved for when you're behind a moving object (plane or ship). I'd probably say I was on the "leeward side of a windbreak," but I don't know a single word for it.

"Lee" is as close as I think we have. "The lee of the house sheltered me from the wind." Or, "I stood on the lee side of the house."
Highly appreciated! I shouldn't be surprised really, but leeward, or lee side here, seems to be the exact same word and expression as we have in norwegian. Le. I le for vinden. På lesiden. Glad to have expanded my vocabulary!

It’s called something else when you play g3 instead of b3 (Benko’s? Hungarian opening? something like that), but I like the left side lead. People often lose track of the pocket bishop that results. We should “play by post” sometime :-)

I’m a fan of Larsen’s opening myself.
Not played it myself, but it looks very interesting! I do like the thought of letting the opponent grab the centre of the board, only to put them under pressure. Perhaps I'll try Larsen's with white, while I keep trying French with black.
