Obraz przedstawia wypędzenie Lucyfera z królestwa niebieskiego po Wojnie w Niebie. Można zauważyć jak Lucyfer próbuję ukryć kotłujące się w nim emocje oraz łzę która sama w sobie jest niezwykła bo uronił ją sam Lucyfer, uosobienie zła. Niełatwo jest powiedzieć co w danym momencie anioł czuję, jego ciało jest lekko napięte, pięści zaciśnięte, pytaniem jest - czy jest to spowodowane przeszywającym smutkiem i żalem za popełnione czyny czy też złością.
Ciekawym jest przedstawienie szatana jako postaci odrzuconej i pokrzywdzonej przez samego Boga, jego ambicje okazały się być zbyt wielkie co spowodowało jego wygnanie z raju a w następstwie nieznośne i uciążliwe emocję zwiastujące początek walki dobra ze złem.
