Okay so my sister grew up, like the rest of us, stick thin, absolute twig of a human being. Then when she went to college, she gained a LOT of weight, and she was actually a lot happier and healthier. recently she got really sick, and lost a REALLY good chunk of weight over three months or so. She barely ate, and threw up a lot.
My grandma will NOT stop telling her that she looks beautiful now, and that she’s doing so well, and that she did such a good job.
it’s infuriating.
i keep seeing posts of people talking about how we all need to start wearing masks again for the sake of disabled people and the Thing Is i Would but unfortunately i live in a house with a Psychopath and if i did try to mask again hed literally lose his fucking mind and. Aughdf.
You know, once you have a massive fight with someone you really cared about and stop talking to them, you start to realize they were a lot more problematic than you allowed yourself to think when they were part of your life.
She told me once that people couldn't be genderfluid AND trans because that was impossible and they were separate identities. She used to constantly mock me for being a Christian, and would constantly make comments to me about how the afterlife wasn't real when she knew I had issues with existentialism and the concept of death. She made fun of me for acting like a "Tiktok cosplayer," when I am naturally expressive with my hands and facial expressions due to ADHD, and didn't stop when I told her that it genuinely made me upset. She told me I needed to "better manage my anger," when I was having an autistic meltdown crossed with a panic attack.
I dunno. Interesting, I suppose.
