After the fight he’d had the day before with the Greek princess only to hear some news later on that night that completely changed everything, Alexi had been on the hunt for Cassie. The housekeeper had a lot of apologizing to do and he wouldn’t stop searching for her until he’d gotten the chance to do so. Naturally, the movie night was his best bet at the moment so he’d made his way to the gardens where the large screen was set up, looking through the aisles of people and distracted as ever. It wasn’t until he’d heard the other voice that he was pulled from the search and his eyes met that of the Canadian Prince.
“Not really.” With the distraction of his search and the haste to find someone else, Alexi had forgotten to pretend his English skills were awful as he continued. “I am actually looking for somebody but…I do not see her.” Sighing, he ran a hand through his short hair and took a seat next to the prince, eyes still running through the rows he’d already checked. “But I guess I mine as well try to enjoy the night. What is Red Rose?”
Hunter stared at the man, completely dumbfounded by the display for a few moments. Wasn't he the one he'd crossed a few weeks back? The one who would always insert a sentence in Russian after every couple of words? He could be wrong. This guy could also be the other guy's doppelganger, or the other way around. Or, maybe Rosetta Stone had decided to kick in.
He still glanced awkwardly at him as he sat down. Or maybe he suddenly found the right type of motivation to learn English, he thought to himself as Alexi mentioned looking for someone. "Who are you looking for?" The knowledge probably wouldn't make any difference to the Canadian, but he asked nonetheless. "Rose Red," he casually corrected. "It's a movie adaptation of a homonym Stephen King book," Hunter explained, trying not to think much about how easily their conversation seemed to be flowing that evening. Sometimes it was best if you simply didn't know the entire story or people's motivation. Hunter could live without those.
