Lysandra shouldn’t have been surprised.  Ever since her father had started training her he very rarely took it easy and this time was no different.  She had managed to knock him to the ground, but it wasn’t for long.  The look of shock on her face was due to the quickness and harshness with which she had hit the ground, her hands barely coming out in time to catch herself.

Lys wasn’t very big for her age, but what she lacked in size she made up for in ferocity.

                             “ No. I will beat you this time, pater! ”

She bared her teeth in a predatory smirk as she went charging at her father.

                   ❝ When are you not hungry. ❞

Deimos groaned, faced pressed into the soft fabrics below them. His stubble caught as he spoke, trying to sink further into the bed in a sign of no- he wasn’t indulging Pausanias this time, he was staying right where he was in his fucked-out state.

                  ❝ Go bug your servants for something to eat, not me. ❞

though  he  opened  his  mouth  to  answer ,  prove  deimos  wrong ,  he  paused .    he  wasn’t  wrong .    always  a  hunger  gnawed  at  him ,  a  voice  he  could  not  silence .    

with  a  huff ,  pausanias  stretched  arms  over  head ,  turning  upon  side  to  face  fellow  spartan  once  satisfied  with  loud  cracks  from  shoulders  and  spine .

“  really ?  ”    he  started ,  brows  arched .    “  after  ALL  i’ve  done  for  YOU  in  the  very  recent  past ?  ”    a  sly  smile ,  eyes  gleaming .    “  you  won’t  help  your  KING ?  ”

Every time she crossed path with her half-brother, Kassandra felt ANXIOUS for days. She didn’t want to hurt him. Actually, she wished she could make him understand that she still considered him as her family. She wanted him to see how the Cult of Kosmos was using him. Even when she was kind to him, he was still agressive. He always was. He had been turned into some kind of monster, but she was still determinated to bring Alexios back instead of Deimos.

She looked at his weapon, and softly raised her hand. “I won’t attack you, Alexios - or Deimos, if you prefer. You’re wasting your time.” Well, if he attached, she wouldn’t have the choice to do the same, but she truly hoped it wouldn’t happen.

           She looked at Deimos, eyes catching on the similarities between them.  Their biggest difference, her emerald green eyes, that eventually locked right back onto his brown ones.  Lys shook her head, muscled arms crossing over one another as she stared at her father with a look of annoyance.  The cult had created a monster in both of them, but where they had lifted them up, making him believe he was a God, they had done the opposite with her, consistently reminding her that she was simply a pawn in their game to keep Deimos at bay, though they’d come up with just as much of an unruly and immoral person as the man standing before her.

                 “ Bold of you to assume that you can’t... immoral compass and all. ”
