Hiking view on Newcastle Island
On some days the lighting was so incredibly enchanting that I would just stop dead in my tracks to record how it fell through the trees.
NYC in photos
On my first full day in the city I didn't take any photographs, I was out and about with Keyana seeing Jimmy Fallon and exploring SVA. So the next day I met Natalie, Lissy, (who I have known for like four years! It was a dream come true) Billeh, and Cara at a coffee shop (I got there all by myself!! using a bus and keyana's help!) and we explored the guggenheim, met up with Keyana and Molly, and then headed to the met!We also met up with Sam later who was so awesome to meet, we basically grew up with photography and flickr at the same time, with the same people as inspirations.

This film, by James Nares, was playing in the Met and I had been telling Natalie earlier in the day how I had seen it in my local museum and that it was incredible. So happy that everyone got to experience it. Skinny building Molly Billeh Sam The next day I hopped on a bus (actually I ran to the bus stop with Keyana and lost my metro card, and my bus was full, but yeah okay eventually I ended up on a bus) to Boston to see Emily! It was so much fun, we had so much delicious food and I even got to meet her lovely little cat Luna and boyfriend Joe. It snowed a lot in Boston which initially, was really awesome. But later became really inconvenient and painful. In Boston Emily and I met up with Sarah and Nishat for photos and dinner. Emily Jennie! After Boston, Emily and I headed back to the city for the meet up, which was incredbile. There were so many loving and talented people and I can't even begin to name everyone so here is a group shot and link to the meet up album I have on facebook because I am not about to embed all of those onto this giant post as well. Seriously though, it was probably one of the best days of my entire life. And on Sunday, my last day in the city, Keyana took me site seeing. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge, went to the high line and had a blast.
I am extremely lucky to have had such a safe and rewarding experience in NYC, especially for my very first time visiting. The internet continues to amaze me because of its ability to bring together so many briliant and loving people, I will never forget this trip or the people I met in the city. I love you all so much, thank you so much for making me feel so welcomed.
If you still haven't seen enough you can browse my shots on instagram! Thanks so much if you stuck with this blog post all the way through, you patient creature. xox
