Italian language influence on the Tunisian & Algerian Lgs

Even though Italy did not officially colonize these two countries, the geographical proximity and the migration of Italian Jews to North Africa and settling in Tunisia as early as the16th century made the Italian language the lingua franca in the field of commerce in the Maghreb.. the influence of this language is still visible in the present day, here are the most common words:
