Story
This is actually an Omani cultural dish that is in every Omani house and it's my favorite because my mum cooks it so well. It's the best meal I had at home and the one I mostly asked for.
Ingredients
1kg rice
500gm chicken breast
100gm red onion
50gm fresh garlic
2table spoon gee
Salt for test
Teaspoon of cardamom powder,
Cinnamon powder
Cumin powder
2-liter chicken stock
Method
Cook the onion and garlic with the ghee till golden brown. Add 1 liter of chicken stock and after boiling add the chicken. Once the chicken is cooked remove and add the rice and keep adding chicken stock if needs be (don’t let it get dry). After cooking the rice, add the chicken again and add the spices. Cook together for 10 minutes and then add all together by using your hands. Place on a flat plate and top it with gee and fried onion.
