How does antialiasing work? I like it Bc it makes my lines smoother but then when I start to color whatever color I’m using gets in the lines. Is there anything on how to use firealpaca (the program I use) properly or just antialiasing and coloring in general?
Anti-aliasing in drawing and computer graphics makes a line appear smoother.
It doesn’t add new pixels, rather it blends the existing pixels to create the illusion of a smoother image. Color getting in the lines is an effect of that transparent blending and trust you me, it’s a good thing too! Using anti-alias without your color getting into the lines has a tendency to look not great. Trust me, the color getting into your lines is a good thing!
If you’re using anti-aliasing and coloring an image it will inevitable have those lines and colors combine (or it should at least, for your own sake). Now of course using such fine lines (1px) will make that blending and the anti-aliasing itself more obvious. The best solution, regardless of what program you use, is to use thicker lines!
