Maxwell and Alice were abandoned by their mother when Walt was three, found by a political figure of Verdin, the city where witches, wizards, warlocks, and other magical outsiders resided. The mayor, seeing that it was not fit for children to be left alone in some trashy orphanage across the country. So he left him with a good friend and famous warlock, William Markham, or known as Mr. Death for he was best in his specialty.
William, a big awkward soft homo took them in, though a bit hesitant. He raised both of them till Alice was 9. Alice and Max became very close, and the scariest bullies of the town. Though Alice was very young, she was the top boss. No one knew what to expect from them, they would either protect you or beat you up and steal your money, or both. The town didn't know what to do with Alice and Max,especially when Alice was the only human in the Verdin. So, they embraced it, and so did she.
While growing up, she learned a lot about wizardry, for William wanted to see if Alice was able to learn magic (wizards and witches have to learn magic, instead of being born with it, though they do have to born with something that decides their specialty and if they're able to learn magic altogether.) After much practicing in the woods that surrounded Verdin, so she wouldn't break anything, they found that she is a witch, though her specialty still unknown. For her 9th birthday, she got the most important thing in her life, The Guide of Magic, a humongous book filled with spells, instructions, warnings, anything you could think of having to do with Magic.
She took the book out to the woods by herself to practice, and stumbled upon the The Desolate Wipeout, a very strong move to do in the Death Specialty. Much to her surprise, she did it. Yet it took so much power from her, and nearly killed her as well.
When she woke up, her head was on an unknown man's lap, her hair being stroked back. A middle-aged man smiled at her, and told her good morning. Of course she freaked, but eventually he calmed her down and told her what happened: the spell killed everyone in her city and nearly killed her. Another melt down, then he told her the sorta good news. He was a life specialty warlock, though he got into a fight with an energy with sometime ago, his powers were dwindling. Though, with rigorous work, he was able to remove Max's and WIlliam's lives into two other hosts, picked by his daughter. An axe, and a bat.
That's when Mayella, or later called by Alice, Spike, comes in to greet her. Alice is put off by her cheery and curious nature, and decides to scare her off with her famous grin. Spike, terrified, runs out of the room, yet stands by the door out of curiosity: Their first meeting.
The man shows her herself in the mirror, and Alice freaks out for she has sloppy stitching all over her body. The man tells her that while everyone else's body was long gone, her's was still fixable. so he fixed it the best he could.
Alice shares a bed with Spike, and as they grow up they become best friends and very close. Through her years, Alice is sexually harassed and experimented on by the "sweet" man. Spike consoled her when it was first happening, though as she grew it became a part of her life, and she silently and reluctantly accepted it.
One day when snooping through the house, she found the Guide to Magic, saved by the man. She took it with her, and with Spike, she learned magic again, along with Spike developing her on capabilities. Alice found the axe could also hold magic capabilites, for the soul of William consumed it. So she grew Mr. Death stronger as well. Soon, they were even able to transfer messages to Mr. Death, Max, and Alice.
When she finally decided she was strong enough, and everyone was in bed, she killed the man. After packing her book, she gathered Spike. Together they ran off to the Magic Academy, where the headmistress who was also seen as the leader of all who were magic resided, and where most magic users went and grew up, especially if they did not have proper parents, which majority of them did not.
Okay I think that's everything, I just needed to finally type this out.
